  1. We had Pete Harnisch? News to me.
  2. The White Sox will never win jack s*** when 2/3 of their outfield is named Carlos Lee and Aaron Rowand (unless Carlos's little brother turns out to be a stud). God, how bad would Lee have been had we left him at third?
  3. Or maybe Paul just had a career half last year? If he's still feeling the effects of the Home Run Derby than he doesn't belong on a MLB roster. It was 11 months ago for christ's sake. He signed a big extension last off season, you'd think he's have enough quarters to go to the cages more often.
  4. didnt wilson throw a 5 inning no hitter?... or am i thinking of someone else Yep... It was against Baltimore, I forget the date (I'm guessing 1991 or therabouts). I have a baseball card commerating the event buried somewhere in one of the shoeboxes of baseball cards buried underneath some binders of baseball cards buried underneath loose baseball cards in my closet somewhere. Before my time, though.
  5. I agree! Even if you blow, hang around the minors for a while, save some money and just go to college later. ATTENTION ALL WHITE SOX DRAFT PICKS... SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE... As for all Cub draft picks... Get out of the organization ASAP!
  6. Eh, I Alvarez was always just one of those guys... Only liked him cuz he was on the Sox... After he was moved to San Francisco, I didn't really care... Hell, the only ex-Sox player from the mid to late-90s I can think of that I still really, really like and is still playing is Robin Ventura because Jesus So it goes. So it goes....
  7. God, it would be wonderful if Frank would play in an All-Star Game at U.S. Cellular Field... Unfortunately, as I said in my column, I think his fate rests more in the hands of his teammates. If the Sox finally get it together and start putting together some wins and hacking into Minnesota's lead and Frank keeps it up... Who knows? A guy can wish, eh?
  8. Looks like Crede is slowly starting to find his swing. Interesting to see Wilson Alvarez out there. Kind of full swing to see a mainstay from the last Sox era, "The Good Guys in Black." When he was traded it marked the beginning of "The Kids Can Play" era, which seems to be coming to a close and a brand new time for rebuilding begins. Oh joy! At least that's what I came up with while I was sitting at the bar watching the game. Feel free to criticize.

    IF I may,

    $100/month if I keep a B average, $150 if I don't.
  10. God... Kordell Stewart, Brian Griese, and Rex Grossman... :puke
  11. Can we please just trade him to someone? How 'bout LA? Evans is dumb enough to take that kind of a deal. He traded for Todd Hundley, after all.
  12. Superballs are so light that they don't make that much of a difference. I'm pretty sure the extra bounce they provide is worth the added pound a handful of superballs will give you. Have you tried it? Corking a bat only lightens it approx. one ounce. Adding superballs to an aluminum bat completely changes the weight distribution of the bat, negatively. Trust me. Yeah, I have a bat that's been superballed and I prefer it to the other bats the team had.... It's still very light but you can definitely tell that the superballs are in there when you hit. But I only used it in BP for the fans.

  14. You're the one totally defending the point that everything is clear cut and can be overlysimpified... She's the one looking at every situation in a its different, unique light.
  15. He's also currently manager of the Birmingham Barons, the Sox's AA affiliate and defending Southern League champions.
  16. What!!! He was released by the fricking D-Rays. You want to sign him! You biscuit head! Green = sarcasm, biscuit head.
  17. Man, clujer and bmr, I wished I lived in your little fantasy world were everything can be simplified into convienent, superficial categories.
  18. He's forgetting he doesn't get the extra feet now that he's corkless.
  19. Man, I just found a birthday present for my Cubbie family for the next year.
  20. Garland's trade value is at an all-time low. There's no point dumping him because anything Williams will get from him won't be nearly as talented as Jon is.
  21. What's worse is that the film they put in the segment of the Albert Belle incident clearly shows him standing there in his Cleveland jersey. Yet they still f*** up. How? Oh wait, I know... Let's try and throw some dirt on the Sox.
  22. That would be good ol' #7... Jerry "The Man" Manuel.
