  1. I just got back from having this travesty of a team inflicted upon me by the TV’s at Red Robin. Yikes.
  2. I'm pretty much over it at this point. I've made the choice not to give a s*** what happens to this team until every trace of the Guillen family is gone and so far it's working out pretty well for me. I no longer get incredibly frustrated over stupid things that i can't control. I'm just going to wait out the storm.
  3. QUOTE (Wanne @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) Bet DBags wished they hadn't had to let Wily Mo go...their 1B options are terrible. Sounds like they really like this kid. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...&pid=502671 And rightly so...
  4. This retroactive egg on my face is hurting my eyes. I was either a hopeless optimist back then or simply hopeless.
  5. I really like this deal for the Rockies. Always been a big fan of Pomeranz. never saw the sense on shipping out Ubaldo this early into a team friendly deal, but for this package i can understand the move.
  6. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 11:02 PM) Obligatory "this site is going downhill and that's the reason I don't post as much anymore" post. Speaking for myself, I still love this damn site, it’s the team that it represents that I’m starting to not be able to stand.
  7. I'm going to watch Derrick Rose take the Bulls as far as he can.
  8. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) 7 months? What in the holy f*** are you talking about? 69 wins and a ~.412 winning percentage as a manager...you think we can land him for next year!!!!??? Manny Acta is really sharp. I'd say that he's probably one of the top-5 strategists in the game right now. His problem is just that he's been burdened with an overabundance of crappy players for the bulk of his managing career. I'd kill to have a guy with his mind for the game as the coach of the Sox.
  9. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 5, 2011 -> 01:57 AM) Also, if there's 1 piece missing on this Bulls roster (other than a competent starting SG), it's a 2nd scorer who can drive or create his own shot. I agree 100%. The Bulls just need someone else who can handle the ball. There's not a single guy on the team other then Rose who i feel comfortable dribbling the ball for more then five seconds (And that number drops to about two for Deng). Teams like the Thunder (Maynor) and the Grizzlies (Vazquez) have benefited tremdously from just having a second facilitator and the Bulls need this as well.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 4, 2011 -> 03:59 PM) The team needs more strikeouts? Yes, but we need to do it differently. We need to strike out with a smile on our face. I call it striking out with style.
  11. I'd love a complete culture change for this organization. We need to purge out the 2005-mentality and get some youth in here. That's why we need kids like Jared Mitchell to turn it around, because the kind of approach he has to the game is exactly what this club needs. Right now, it's just a dead feeling to watch these Sox and i'm tired of it.
  12. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 4, 2011 -> 03:52 PM) Rios really wants to get to the magical Mendoza line Damn the selfish players on this team. All they care about are individual achievements.
  13. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 4, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) I'm pretty much done with Ozzie at this point myself. Not because the offense isnt' hitting, that's not his problem. But because of the stupid f***ing fundamentally awful coaching, plus his side show distractions. I've officially jumped off the Ozzie train. A decent in game manger can sometimes compensate for his teams deficiencies with strategy (see Manny Acta) all Ozzie can do is go by his gut. This disaster of a season is in no way all on him, but he's done nothing to shift the mentality of these guys in any significant direction. He's all talk and no action.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 4, 2011 -> 08:21 AM) I spent most of this game playing with my new iPhone. I don't have a smart phone, i could always just play with myself.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 4, 2011 -> 10:33 AM) I think the reason Kenny has been given such a leash by fans is that he's so fun and so ready to make the big splash. He thinks like a fan. He gets us all riled up because, really, no player is off-limits. IM GONNA GET ME KEN GRIFFEY JUNIOR! IM SNAGGIN ME SOME MAN-RAM! GEMME DAT PEAVY! That's fan talk. Hell, that's me talk. I need someone who thinks very differently from myself running this team. Kenny has been getting b****-slapped by the league for five solid seasons now. I keep imagining Carlos Boozer screaming these when going up for a rebound. I find that image hilarious.
  16. I really haven't been that engaged with this team since spring. It's partly due to just how distant i am from them up here in New England and it's also due in large part to how big of a Bulls fan i've become. I'm never going to stop rooting for these guys, but if there was ever a time to have checked out from this team it's this year.
  17. I’d say unf***ing believable but this is actually quite a reasonable result given recent performances.
  18. This is just based on an observation i made in spring but I think AJ is a lot closer to the coaching staff then he is a lot of guys on the team. That being said i doubt that the team actually loathes him as a collected unit and i think a lot of this kind of reporting is reactionary and overblown.
  19. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 09:50 PM) THE SEASON TURNS TONIGHT! Let's stay modest. WE FINALLY WON A GAME! Nice gameplan between AJ and Santos tonight. Glad to see a game end instead of explode.
  20. Big time pitch by Sergio. Let's all go home happy and get this next out.
  21. We've been over this for the last 4 years. The only way i see Walker leaving is if the entire coaching staff is purged.
  22. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 23, 2011 -> 12:41 AM) He is an interesting name to me. I've been following his appearances this year. Shane Lindsay is a great guy too. He was out there bright and early almost every day in spring signing autographs and talking to fans for hour-long stretches.
