Yeah I know. Just a typo. -

The Top 30 was very hard this time which is a good thing. We could almost go to 40 players pretty easily. 1. Eloy Jimenez OF 2. Michael Kopech RHP 3. Luis Robert OF 4. Nick Madrigal SS 5. Alec Hansen RHP 6. Zack Collins C 7. Dylan Cease RHP 8. Dane Dunning RHP 9. Micker Adolfo OF 10. Luis Alexander Basabe OF 11. Blake Rutherford OF 12. Steele Walker OF 13. Luis Gonzalez OF 14. Jake Burger 3B 15. Jordan Stephens RHP 16. Zack Burdi RHP 17. Seby Zavala C 18. Spencer Adams RHP 19. Gavin Sheets 1B 20. Konnor Pilkington LHP 21. Ian Hamilton RHP 22. Luis Curbelo SS 23. Tyler Johnson RHP 24. Lenyn Sosa RHP 25. Ryan Cordell OF 26. AJ Puckett RHP 27. Thyago Vieira RHP 28. Jonathan Stiever RHP 29. Laz Rivera SS 30. Bernardo Flores LHP Just Missed: Joel Booker, Alex Call, Danny Mendick, Ian Clarkin, Jose Ruiz, Lincoln Henzman, Lency Delgado, Luis Mieses, Kade McClure, Ti'Quan Forbes I was surprised to see so much love for Lency Delgado this early. He's super young and in the AZL. He wasn't really a 4th round draft prospect though even though that's where the Sox took him. He's definitely a guy to watch for sure though. As far as the draft picks are concerned, they the players went in the rounds that their talent actually justifies it would have looked something like this for Sox: 1. Madrigal 2. Walker 3. Pilkington 4. Stiever 5. Davis Martin 6. Jason Bilous RHP 7. Isaiah Carranza RHP 8. Lency Delgado SS 9. Ty Greene C Cal Berkley 10. Cabera Weaver. -

I'm not sure what they'll do but Pilkington won't be throwing many innings. Jonathan Stiever is in Great Falls and he's only throwing 3 innings at a time. These college guys will be on limits. Next year to start could be interesting though with Konnor Pilkington, Jonathan Stiever, Davis Martin and Isaiah Carranza. -

I gotcha. I misread what you wrote. -

People enjoy the thread. Don't come into the thread and share thoughts. Problem solved. -
Yeah but he jumped big time. He jumped ahead of Hansen.

I'm writing up something now. The players are in their new cities I would imagine. Not sure what they will do -
I think Herrera and Pineda are both interesting on the pitching side as well as Luke Schilling
-
I don't believe so. I'd have him right around 12-13. I have Adolfo and Basabe 9 and 10 in the system. Luis Gonzalez, Rutherford and Walker are likely 11-13 in some order
-
Whitley and Tucker will be off-limits for Abreu. I'd seriously consider something based around Yordan Alvarez though. Kid has a .950 OPS in AA as a 20-year old. Something involving Alvarez and RHP Jairo Solis would be a solid deal IMO.
-
It's pretty much what we expected: http://www.milb.com/roster/index.jsp?cid=1997 Really interesting young team. I'll have a preview up in a few days.
-
These guys would likely all be $300K signings.

They will also be getting Jose Rondon back and it wouldn't surprise me if Mendick were to go up as well. I think Thompson and Garneau both get DFA. Saunders, Giovatella, Perez, Roach, Scahill etc all release candidates. -

I agree with both of those. I could see Remillard and one of Yrizarri/Forbes to AA. Need to get Madrigal and Rivera to High A -

Cease, Basabe, Call and Booker to Birmingham makes sense. I would guess and infielder and Flores go as well as Dopico. Hamilton, Eloy and Zavala to Charlotte makes sense as well. I'm guessing Robert, Gonzalez, Rivera, Henzman, and Johnson to Winston Salem. Possibly Battenfield as well. The Zavala move makes a lot of sense. He'll be in the discussion as the major league backup next year. He must be added to the 40-man in December to be protected from Rule 5. Kopech, Cease, Stephens and Adams need to be added as well -
His stuff is much, much better than both guys though. I think he should be in the majors with the big league coaching staff personally but there's obviously not a spot right now
-
Giolito is working with Cooper. I think his lack of options is a big factor in why he's still in Chicago but I also don't think AAA necessarily fixes his issues.
-
Lets pump the breaks on the pitching part of this. Cease is still in High-A and older than Kopech was in same league. Kopech raced through AA and took names while doing so. Lets see Cease in Birmingham first.
-
See I actually disagree with many on Kopech. I want him in the big leagues with Cooper. His stuff is excellent. His command has been shit. I'd rather take these lumps and get it worked out in the majors. There's not really an easy way to make a spot right now though.

I think AZL will be all HS and Latin everything. Those guys all have to go there. On the position player side in Arizona you are looking at this: Catcher: Kleyder Sanchez , Tyrus Greene (16th rder), Gabriel Ortiz (19 rder), Jose Colina 1B: Sam Abbott (8th rd 2017), Harvin Mendoza Infield: Lency Delgado, Kelvin Maldonado, Bryant Nova, Sydney Pimentel (2017 intl signing), Camilo Quintero (2017 intl signing), Outfield: Cabera Weaver, Anderson Comas, Anthony Coronado, Josue Guerrero, Luis Mieses. All 2016-2017 international signings plus the 7th round pick Weaver. I have no idea where Franklin Reyes is. Maybe he's going to Kannapolis

Again though, they can't convince someone to sign when they don't have money. They didn't save much of anything on top 2 picks. They overslotted Bilous. My guess is they overslotted Carranza and Martin as well. That's the extra savings. -
I'd still rather have Moncada long-term
