  1. You can only send so many guys below AA and Robert has a much stronger case to make the cut.
  2. A Kopech/Rodon/Cease trio could be pretty insane. And we have a ton of other interesting arms to fill up a staff. While Sale would be awesome, I’d still rather add a Machado or Arenado.
  3. Yes I did...didn’t he ace two guys like that?
  4. Cease is ridiculous. He doesn’t even have his best command tonight and he’s still dominating.
  5. I’m not overly surprised by this return. When Avilan didn’t get moved in July, I figured there must not be much of a market. Moving him is still the right move, just to give our minor league lefties more opportunities.
  6. Alright, I ain’t staying another seven innings without Kopech pitching.
  7. No fucking way, I was sitting right in front of you. I saw that t-shirt and was going to ask you where you got that. That t-shirt is fucking awesome. We’ll be back after this rain delay.
  8. STFU, I was sitting in row 142. Were you by yourself?
  9. I’m at the game & drunk, can someone provide a weather forecast? Maybe you again flavum??
  10. Has fathom complained about velocity yet? ?
  11. No, I’d rather have a 2nd round pick than Dedelow or Frost. If you’re talking about Rutherford, Adolfo, Gonzalez, etc. those guys are top 100/fringe top 100 and would not classify as a lottery ticket under any definition.
  12. What shot does an A ball lottery ticket have at ever seeing the big leagues?
  13. I think he’ll definitely makes Fangraphs top 100 list this offseason. Not sure about the other major publications. Didn’t someone mention that Keith Law really likes him?
  14. They get a comp pick if he leaves, which is better than a few lottery tickets.
  15. It would be nice if we had a prospect come out guns blazing for once. If Kopech can pitch like he has in his last seven games down in AAA (adjusted for the majors obviously) it really changes the complexion of the rotation heading into next year. Suddenly we’re a #3 starter away from a pretty solid rotation with the chance of something special if everything clicks.
  16. God damn it. What does flavum have to say about this? He's the only amateur meteorologist on this site that I actually trust.
  17. I think Giolito can settle in as a solid #3 starter or an elite #4 starter. He’s got some real nice secondary pitches that he can get swing & misses. He’s just got maintain consistency with his mechanics.
  18. I think AA is all but a certainty, but I don’t expect him to stay there long.
