  1. Parke pulled after one inning. Hopefully he’s not hurt.
  2. I only saw the fourth and his command was simply off. Primarily fastballs from what I could tell, but he threw some off-speed stuff as well. Wasn’t working on anything specific though.
  3. His start was definitely ugly, but he’s been on fire these last few weeks. Not just the power but also a much better K rate to go along with an always elite BB rate.
  4. Basabe with two more K’s. Hopefully he can make some adjustments and get his K rate moving back in the right direction.
  5. Fathom, I got a ton of respect for you as a poster, but you sure have a unique way of finding the absolute worst possible outlook on everything ?
  6. Wow, Kopech just gave up a grand slam. What a disasterous inning for him.
  7. Yup, he’s got to learn how to pitch without his best stuff. Kopech nasty through 3 other than giving up a solo shot.
  8. Well at least it appears he’s working on certain pitches.
  9. Thanks for posting this NorthSide! I can’t see Yurcheck getting promoted given the Sheets / Adolfo duo taking up the vast majority of playing time at 1B & DH. Pretty much the rest I agree with. The one move of importance I think you missed is Hamilton to Charlotte. I think they just need to figure out who to cut in AAA to clear up the spot. He seems like he’s ready for the challenge IMO.
  10. What’s funny is he has a great FIP & excellent periphals. Obviously those numbers are very misleading if you’ve been watching the games.
  11. Oh there’s definitely room in W-S for a couple guys, including a starter as you mentioned, but I’d like to see close to 10 players from Kannapolis get bumped to High A. On the pitching side, I think you can make a case for most of the rotation plus Johnson & Escorcia. On the offensive side, I think Gonzalez, Rivera, & Blackman are ready for the jump.
  12. FIFY. Realistically most of the roster is a tad old for Low A. Hoping they can find a way to promote a bunch of them to High A at some point in the near future. The question is how many High A guys are ready for AA or are simply expandable. That will limit wholesale promotions to a certain extent.
  13. How do you know we didn’t offer him something like that?
  14. Everyone here wanted Rondon, but he signed with the World Series champs. I doubt he was interested in joining a rebuilding club and pitching half his games at the Rate. Don’t have much to say about Oh to be honest.
  15. I think he brought in quite a few interesting bullpen options. The problem is we started with guys like Minaya & Infante who are not major leaguers and the three anchors (Jones, Soria, & Avalin) haven’t been great. Which free agents are you specifically referring to?
  16. 100% agree. He’s our best CF option at the moment.
  17. Yeah I’m out of town and watching the Cubs broadcast through MLBN and the Len was all over that play. Given the importance of that out and being down by five early, it seemed like an obvious call to challenge.
  18. I’m not sure about others, but I’m pissed he didn’t challenge the out at second.
  19. Just have Anderson run here. Nothing to lose with two outs.
