You keep saying this, but let’s use the Cubs as example. What team has the payroll flexibility & willingness to take on Heyward or Darvish? The Cubs being able to free up enough money to land Harper is the longest of long-shots. Boras isn’t stupid, he isn’t going to wait for a miracle and risk teams with actual interest moving on to Machado or other things.

If Bryce goes to the Cubs, just pack this shit & move to Portland because this franchise is dead. That being said, the Cubs are not a realistic possibility despite what the cat says.

Agree. I’d be open to a two year deal at the right price, but that’s starting to seem unlikely.

If the Sox add Grandal, it reflects they don’t believe Collins is likely to stick there. Personally, I think this type of move makes a ton of sense if that’s the case.

100%, a Grandal addition should be considered on its own merits outside of Harper & Machado.

I pretty much disagree with this entire post and am glad you are not GM.

Despite my issue with Omar’s small ball tendencies, he did seem to get a lot out of his guys last year. Given how loaded that AA roster will be, I do think this is a good move.
