  1. Lewis is a huge question mark, but I trade Soria & Avalin for him in a heartbeat. Doubt Seattle would do that though. I’d also do Soria straight up for Rodriguez.
  2. You might be right. Just seems like they’re planning on calling up both Kopech & Jimenez by the start of August.
  3. RODON!!!!!!!!!
  4. Alright, let’s end this with a K.
  5. No walks Soria, scouts are watching!
  6. Uh oh, I think Abreu is broken again ?
  7. Moncada looks damn good up there right now despite the lineout right there.
  8. Lol...added some much needed tension to a routine pop up.
  9. Hard to be too mad right now given that he basically struck Trout out. But boy does this suck.
  10. Ok 0-2, throw some junk Minaya.
  11. Oh my god. Please do not blow this Sox.
  12. I still don’t agree with this. Most major league teams don’t have league average hitters with plus defensive versatility on their bench. If they do, they probably only have one of those guys (with few exceptions). I’m not suggesting we’d get a haul for either guy, but let’s not act these guys are a dime a dozen types.
  13. Bad call right there.
  14. Almost thought I was watching the Cubs game with all the loud cheering for a routine fly ball.
  15. It’s truly mind boggling. I actually think Leury has looked just as good out in CF with the glove too.
  16. Trust me, I want the same thing and wouldn’t be against it. And I think if we can somehow add Machado or Harper, then we probably have to add a starter and be a bit more aggressive plugging holes. Ultimately I’m open to anything this offseason that doesn’t cost us our prospect currency or jeopardize our financial flexibility. We should be saving our chips for true impact players.
  17. Ryan Cordell really blew the opportunity of a lifetime.
  18. I’m not against it necessarily, just feel like we’d be better off giving our young arms a chance in 2019 and add a veteran starter before the 2020 if needed.
  19. Anderson’s bad BABIP luck is hopefully starting to normalize.
  20. I know it’s a long-shot, but I hope they take a real shot at Machado & Harper. If you miss on those guys, maybe look at a veteran CF, 3B, or 1B/DH on a short term deal. There is the makings of a pretty good offense if they keep Abreu & Avi and make the right additions. Pitching will have question marks, but I still think I’d start the season with a rotation of Rodon, Kopech, Lopez, Giolito, and either Covey or Stephens. Add veteran reliever or two to stabilize the bullpen, but otherwise roll with a young staff and wait for the next wave of guys (Cease, Dunning, Hansen, etc) to serve as reinforcements.
  21. As much as I’d love that extra year of control, I feel like they’re both coming up in the coming weeks and we might as well hope they help this team win some games.
  22. Draft position be damned, I hope this team goes on a run during the second half. Would be nice to have some momentum heading into the offseason.
  23. Him & Anderson developing into above average players would help the rebuild tremendously.
  24. Sit the F down Trout.
