  1. I think the days of a 70 FV fastball projection are done with and his ability to become a legit TOR starter will depend on his secondary offerings. Other than the curveball, those pitches have come a long way. And while I didn’t get to see him a ton in spring training, he finally demonstrated that plus curveball on a consistent basis in his start against the Cubs. I do disagree with the notion that he can completely abdandon his curve and a TOR starter. He’ll need to learn how to pitch without it at times and he seems to have enough quality offerings now to survive, but that curveball needs to be his biggest weapon if he wants to dominate on a consistent basis.
  2. Nice job getting out of that Reynaldo, now let’s get him some runs boys!
  3. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 8, 2018 -> 02:16 PM) That was a strike Nasty pitch too. Lopez looks awesome today. Velocity maintaining at 95 MPH.
  4. I’ll be honest, I’m going to be pretty pissed if Lopez holds the Tigers to one and doesn’t get the win. It’s still very early, but no excuse to get shut out by Mike f***ing Fiers.
  5. Davidson K’s on an 87 MPH fastball, the skepticism is starting to grow again.
  6. Am I crazy or has Fiers been in the high 80s all day and we can’t get to him?
  7. QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 8, 2018 -> 01:54 PM) Was just thinking that. If he keeps doing this, I think he would be a good 2-hole hitter, move Avi to 3rd or cleanup with Davidson hitting 5th. Not really sure why Anderson is hitting behind Delmonico and Leury...unless the reason is to give variety of handedness in the lineup. Which I think is dumb. Put your best hitters first no matter the handedness. Renteria wanted Anderson in the bottom third of the lineup so Tim could be Tim and allow him to be aggressive. And while Tim has been far more patient than he’s ever been with us, I’d leave him where’s at for now.
  8. Luis Gonzalez with his first HR of the season.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 8, 2018 -> 01:32 PM) Defense and wildness killing Cease Still a very promising start, but this 5th inning implosion will mask that to some extent.
  10. I?€™ve never seen a team fail to drive men in with based loaded 0 or 1 out more than our White Sox.
  11. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 8, 2018 -> 01:28 PM) Davidson ANOTHER walk. What a start. The walks are making me more of a believer.
  12. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Apr 8, 2018 -> 01:24 PM) How did Yoan get out? Soft lineout to 2B I believe.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 8, 2018 -> 01:25 PM) Passed ball for Castillo. Gotcha, I didn’t see it, but thought Hawk called it a wild pitch.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 8, 2018 -> 01:23 PM) Defense has been a disaster this season What did I miss?
  15. Cease now with 4 K’s through 2 innings (3 swinging) with 17/25 pitches for strikes!
  16. Also, no Rutherford or Sheets in the lineup for game 1.
  17. Cease with a strong 1st. Three batters faced, three outs. 2 K’s & 9/12 pitches for strikes
  18. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20180408 Alright this should be a fun day weather permitting. All affiliates except for Charlotte have double headers. The Dash kick things off today with their first game at noon CST.
  19. Still no word on who is replacing him?
  20. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Apr 7, 2018 -> 07:55 PM) Stephens 7ks, 2 hits, 1 walk, 6ip He’s ready for AAA. Hopefully he gets the bump up when Hansen comes back.
  21. I’m a Davidson skeptic, but a 17.2% BB rate, 24.1% K rate, & .565 ISO will work for me.
