  1. Second time through the order, need to start having some better at-bats.
  2. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 12:50 PM) This f***ing lineup sucks right now I thought you said they were about to erupt ?
  3. That's some serious f***ing hustling by Eaton!!!
  4. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 12:34 PM) Overmatched by LHP. Moore isn't that good. It's crazy, we should at least be making contact.
  5. I fully expect Navarro to jack one today. He's been epically bad offensively so far this season, but finally gets to face a lefty today. This will be the game where he turns things around.
  6. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 09:04 AM) I have a feeling they both will be. The question is who sits for Sands? Melky or Avi? Melky probably makes more sense from a splits standpoint, but I hate taking our one hot bat out of the lineup.
  7. Going against the lefty today, I want Sands & Saladino in the lineup.
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 08:01 AM) Hahn knows they are screwed. He knows White Sox fans are way too smart to buy tickets to see a team that wins. Why is it anything positive is always something that can't be sustained, and anything negative is just how things are no matter the sample size? The offense is going to get better, but it still looks like it will be a problem. And even if the pitching staff doesn't regress, which is basically impossible, we're not going to stay this lucky. A winning record does not prevent you from acknowledging flaws with the team and if you're Rick Hahn you need to act on them as quickly as possible.
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 12:45 PM) Adolfo to Kanny. Put up numbers, man. Where you seeing this?
  10. Anyone know what happened to Johan Cruz? Seems like he hasn't played in a few days.
  11. This is Ramirez's first start of the season, so there's a chance his rhythm is a bit off. Bats got to deliver today. Really need Eaton, Abreu, & Frazier to lead the charge. Guys went 1/12 yesterday so I expect a big bounce back in tonight's game.
  12. Time for the bats to come alive and get us a f***ing win! Go Sox!!!!!!
  13. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 03:56 PM) I admittedly have a higher estimation/valuation of Saladino than his numbers would warrant. And I hate rents....their high failure rate just does that to me. That the winning organizations don't dump their good young players, also does that to me. I'd rather that approach than than Kenny Williams 3/16 methods. But par usual, here come the pejoratives for Sox prospects.... "utility infielder" just like Trayce is a "4th outfielder" and Semien and Phegley (who out-hit 1/2 the Sox regulars last year) are scrubs. While Cooper was pining and awing over Hector Noesi, Bassit was putting up solid numbers for a back end starter. Let's not forget that utility infielder Escobar, who has outplayed every Sox SS since the Williams traded him. On what basis is Saladino a utility infielder... Because Cooper and Ventura think he is? Because he's not highly ranked? Sometimes solid, but not spectacular minor league numbers translate to solid major leaguers. Check out the Giants infield sometime. I thank God every single day you aren't the Sox's GM. Your love of C grade prospects is seriously out of control. In fact, I'm certain you're trolling us now. No one can honestly be in favor of having fringe major leaguers makeup the majority of the roster.
  14. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 11:24 AM) If the Sox agreed with this, he wouldn't be in the lineup five days a week. Ishikawa or Davidson would be on the 25-man roster instead. I agree that Avi needs to take a big step forward this year, and that's what the Sox are giving him the opportunity to do. If he doesn't show them something this year, he'll probably be dealt for an inconsequential player in the offseason. But I have no problem with the Sox giving a 24-year-old more time to prove himself, particularly when their options are limited. That's not true at all. Davidson has done nothing to deserve a major league opportunity and Ishikawa is simply not a good baseball player. Avi is a better alternative at DH to both of those guys for the time being. Having said that, he doesn't deserve much of a rope. A couple more weeks and we need to start getting serious about a replacement and unfortunately that guy is not in the organization at the moment.
  15. QUOTE (bear_brian @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 11:22 AM) I have tried to defend Avi in previous posts, but in watching him now - with his new stance - I see very little difference in his seeming ignorance of situations, of what a pitcher has done to the previous hitter, of pitch selection, etc. It seems that what we should have done was to dump Avi for a bag of balls, signed Loney and let Fields and Loney platoon in that DH spot. Too late for that now. Daniel Fields? Or did you mean Sands?
  16. QUOTE (Dunt @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 11:03 AM) Adam Engel hype is real fam. 5:6 BB:K ratio. That type of OBP with elite defense is super sexy. Small sample size, but if he keeps it up, he's a surefire major league starting CF.
  17. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 11:11 PM) Soooooo, the Red Sox might release Pablo Sandoval if they can't find a trade partner I'd take a flier on him for our DH spot if he were to be released. No way anyone is trading for him though.
  18. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 09:59 PM) I'm hoping that Chicago White Sox has the responsibility of making game threads for the rest of the season. You're lucky I snuck my game thread in right above yours on Saturday
