  1. I guarantee Colon is Orlando part duex
  2. @Soxnfins - See above...this is what we call a troll
  3. Fake insider is what they prefer to be called
  4. Seems like the missing piece
  5. Using down years from Kimbrel to suggest he’s not literally a top three reliever in baseball is quite the take.
  6. And IMO, the move almost certainly means a major payroll increase is coming and that Madrigal will be replaced in free agency.
  7. This is true and doesn’t even include a potential return to form for Bummer.
  8. It’s a theoretical overpay (ignoring trade deadline implications), but honestly I’m ok with it if this suggests we’re going to spend some money to replace Nick in the offseason. Kimbrel basically gives us the best playoff bullpen while also allowing Kopech to serve as rotation insurance. May be a big price to pay, but not sure there is a more impactful move we could have made for the 2021 season.
  9. This guy is a total fucking clown
  10. I decided to take the afternoon off and take my twins out for lunch and now am drinking beer while catching up on this trade. This has been the best trade deadline ever.
  11. Yeah, this isn’t a mathematical equation. Short of a TOR stud, nothing is more valuable at the trade deadline than a lock-down reliever, surplus value be dammed.
  12. Oh I fully agree that we should strive for more than the minimum. I think the challenge is the system is so weak right now that you can’t be quite as bold as other organizations. At least by addressing the must-do’s first, we know what prospect currency is available to play with and can possibly make a more impactful move without putting broader plans at risk. If I’m Hahn, I’m 100% looking at setup men and RFs until the clock strikes 3pm and hoping to make one big trade if it won’t be completely disruptive to our future.
  13. It’s so easy to tell when it’s tray laughing at posts because they come in bulk, are almost always unwarranted, and then are followed by him making some nonsensical tirade
  14. The way I look at things is the Sox have done the absolute minimum that was required this deadline, in getting a 2B upgrade and a 7th inning reliever. With those two moves out of the way, the Sox can wait and see what opportunities present themself. If a RF upgrade or a legit setup man can be acquired at somewhat reasonable terms I could see the Sox pull the trigger before 3pm today. Otherwise, they go with what they have.
  15. This list was intended to be trade deadline moves only. The Adames trade happened back in May and the Cimber / Dickerson happened in June. Even the Rowdy trade was over three weeks ago. I definitely could be missing something, but the above moves wouldn’t really apply.
  16. Who would make sense at this point?
  17. @Y2Jimmy0 - Franklin Reyes is listed on our ACL roster, do you know if that is accurate? I know he had some serious back problems or something of that nature and missed a ton of time, but figured he simply retired.
  18. What would it take to get Paul Fry? What would we have to add beyond Jake Burger to get a deal done?
