  1. I’ll keep saying it, but we should be looking at OF upgrade. I get Engel & Goodwin have performed well, but we need to be prepared for when their hot streaks end.
  2. This isn’t directed at you, but everyone should be blamed for the role they play in losses. The offense sucked today and that contributed to the loss. So did La Russa using Crochet in extras when he has proven time & time again that he can’t field his position well. Guys shouldn’t get a free pass because others sucked a little bit more.
  3. Sheets can have value as a left-handed bench bat that can fill in at 1B and the corners. If someone wants to overvalue him then move him, but otherwise keep him around as a role player / depth.
  4. Can someone please provide real time updates? My MLBTV is saying I’m blacked out somehow despite being in Florida.
  5. No, purposely making bad decisions to prove a point is very much different than what Ricky did last year.
  6. This isn’t directed just at you, but can we please stop theorizing that the manager is throwing away games to prove some point because he’s somehow incapable of talking with his GM about roster needs.
  7. Using him with a runner on 2nd base and no outs is far from ideal. No idea how Tony hasn’t figured this out yet.
  8. At least Crochet is bringing the heat
  9. Tell me Burger isn’t hurt
  10. Lol...Abreu is gone after the 2022 season, Keuchel after 2022 or 2023, Grandal after 2023, Lynn after 2023 or 2024, & Hendriks after 2024. Not like we have some Miguel Cabrera albatross waiting in the wings.
  11. Not the sexiest lineup against a RHP, but clearly Tony is saving Sheets & Collins for Berrios.
  12. FYI...Kopech is only controllable through 2025 (four more years of control after this season) and we definitely will have some arb eligible players this offseason.
  13. Same here! Let’s hope the Marlins feel the same and will take him as a piece for Starling Marte!
  14. Huge win! Also, @chitownsportsfan = NSC confirmed:
  15. Oh I know they’ll move to the rotation next year, but if they don’t get him some innings he won’t last the full and won’t be able to contribute much come October.
  16. Nice win!! Fuck you Astros!
  17. Fully agree. There is still time, but as each day passes it just seems like they want to keep him a high leverage, 1 or 2 inning reliever role.
  18. That’s totally fair, but at some point we got to rip off the bandaid or he will be greatly limited as a starter next year.
  19. What’s their plan exactly? Kopech is sitting at 36.1 innings on the year.
  20. We own the city now, time to rock $180M+ payrolls
  21. You just compared Gallo to Dunn, so not sure what Engel has anything to do about it. The point is Gallo is a monster with the bat and the glove, so his floor is certainly not Adam Dunn even if his offense breaks bad.
  22. Why couldn’t Carlos always been this dude??
