  1. Can someone post Tony’s post-game comments on the steal attempt? Would love to hear if that was a poor dugout decision or a Leury brain-fart.
  2. I’m not worried yet, but we definitely getting our money worth so far.
  3. Ahhh...see that now. Still incredibly dumb to steal there and it may have cost us a game.
  4. He’s literally one of the worst offensive players in the last half decade. His value is a pinch runner and defensive replacement. The fact we keep letting him bat in big situations is insanity to me, although perhaps there were no other options today.
  5. Can someone smarter than me explain the logic there? Are we really that concerned about Billy hitting into a double play? We literally just threw away a chance of Tim Anderson being up with the go ahead run at 3rd.
  6. All we need is a god damn sac fly...get it done Billy!
  7. Does Grandal start off in 2nd? Unfortunately the game is blacked out in my market.
  8. Stiever the only announced starter so far.
  9. I said it in the offseason, but the amount of low hanging fruit under Cooper was incredible and just getting any modern pitching coach in place would likely to pay major dividends. Obviously there is more than just that with Rodon, but it’s clear as day Don was holding us back in recent years.
  10. He’s always been tooled up, but has never really put it together. Definitely one of the more ingesting guys on Winston-Salem.
  11. He did hit 16 HRs in AA back in 2019, which is pretty decent. But year, would be great to see him reach the 20 mark this year.
  12. Price becomes the big question mark. But you’re right, hard to find a better fit given his control, left-handed bat, and ability to play some CF.
  13. Crochet + Kelley + Horn would have to be pretty interesting if you’re the Pirates.
  14. A couple interesting arms, although a bit on the older side. Bilous has pretty big stuff. Carranza & Schilling were both over-slot signings who got hurt immediately. Freeman is guy who could be move fast. An infusion of youth at some point would definitely help.
  15. The Sox can still win the division, but they 100% need to add a CF type that La Russa will actually play on a regular basis. Leury & Hamilton simply don’t cut it as fill-ins and honestly I’m not sure we can bank on Engel being ready in 3 weeks with all the set-backs he’s been experiencing. And while I hope I’m wrong, it’s probably only a matter of time before Eaton hits the DL too. No fucking clue who might be available right now, but waiting to the trade deadline might too late. We still have a lot of talent on offense, but we’re also a very streaky unit and can’t afford to rock sub replacement bats at the bottom of the lineup when things are running cold. Doesn’t need to be a star or anything close to Luis Robert, but the gap between serviceable and Leury / Hamilton is massive when it comes to the bat.
  16. Tim Anderson, SS Bryan Reynolds, CF* Jose Abreu, 1B Yoan Moncada, 3B# Yermin Mercedes, DH Yasmani Grandal, C# Andrew Vaughn, LF Adam Eaton, RF* Nick Madrigal, 2B
  17. Bryan Reynolds for our 2020 draft class...who says no?
  18. Lol...god help us all. The amount of playing time we are going to give to Leury & Hamilton is going to be appalling. Hahn has to make a bold move and fast or things could get ugly.
