They have legit been studly and have made a huge difference for us against RHP. And while these are all incredibly SSS, even Burger has been more than just a lefty killer so far (although he’s got some serious BABIP regression coming). Regardless, it’s impressive what these kids have accomplished this season. Collins with a 187 wRC+ against RHP over 33 PAs Vaughn with a 147 wRC+ against RHP over 57 PAs Burger with a 216 wRC+ in total over 27 PAs Sheets with a 203 wRC+ against RHP over 44 PAs

Moncada is made of glass and playing him at 2B increases the chance he someone gets while also weakening the defense. Just go get Escobar and call it a day.

My point is that unfortunately for us either we deal a key piece of our bullpen or we likely can’t get him. I’m not suggesting we do or don’t that trade, just pointing out we don’t have any other top 100 prospects. Also, I wouldn’t deal Kopech for you pretty much anything and consider him a much more valuable asset than Crochet.

Gallo is on pace for a 6+ win season and he’s still very young, meaning the Rangers can extent & build around him. The Rangers are going to need at least one top 100 prospect plus other stuff at a minimum. Unfortunately for us Crochet is the only guy that fits the bill.

Rutherford probably won’t be in the organization after this season as his performance doesn’t warrant a 40 man spot IMO. Colas isn’t even a part or the organization. I’d 100% deal Cespedes for Gallo regardless, but that’s not going to be enough.

The Rangers

Not worth sacrificing a key member of the rotation to upgrade an offense that’s already loaded. I’m going to assume the D-Backs want prospects and not a major league pitcher if they move Ketel.

I don’t think this has any impact on Kelley as he’s a good three years away. What this does is make it easier to move one of Crochet or Stiever and still have a halfway decent #6 guy heading into 2022.

I don’t think you can trade him right now, but he’s definitely a guy you can take flyers on in the offseason.

I’m sure they’ll see what it will take to bring him and will almost certainly offer him a QO, but he hasn’t exactly been a beacon of health and Scott Boras is his agent. I seriously doubt him taking a Lynn type deal without fully testing the market, but you never know I guess.

Four players is a bit misleading here. I included Lopez in the trade as a way to clear a 40 man roster spot and give the D-Backs a small sweetener. Also, while Adolfo has some value, the lack of options places a big cap on that. As for Soria, to me his addition would be more about depth than being an impact guy. That being said, he’s been better as of late (SSS) and has good experience. I wouldn’t pay a ton for him, but I don’t expect us to land two high end relievers this deadline.
