  1. I also don’t get how we was wrong about any of the Machado stuff. He legit reported the exact offer.
  2. Would definitely be an old school KW slealth mode special
  3. This is probably true but I’ll hold out hope Jerry will do the right thing if it’s only a few more million
  4. Archer is interesting, but I think he’s far riskier than Richards.
  5. Could be as simply as they don’t want commit dollars to a pitcher beyond this year. Rising payroll plus a desire to extend Lynn might not leave a ton of money for unnecessary pieces.
  6. I don’t think anyone is giving Cruz more than one year.
  7. Those are good questions. Could be what fathom is suggesting and they plan on dealing Vaughn++ for Burnes. Or perhaps Jerry is a little more optimistic about potential fan attendance and is willing to spend a little more to fit Cruz into equation. Even way, he’d be a massive addition for the 2021 season.
  8. It makes total sense unless it prevents us from adding a starter mid tier starter. Giving Vaughn a year in the minors isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
  9. Yeah, I’m 100% all for Cruz! I get the argument for signing someone like La Stella who offers more versatility, but Cruz isn’t your average DH, he’s a legit game-changer. I can’t believe aren’t getting more hyped over this!
  10. Oh wait, he’s legit suggesting we’re signing Cruz?
  11. It’s possible he’s our only guy on the list at that point.
  12. Not sure what you mean by this, but Kyle Lewis is on the top 10 for CFs
  13. I don’t know what it is, but I’m just not a big Marco Gonzalez fan.
  14. I’m guessing the Sox didn’t have much interest in Quintana and have others (Richards likely being one of them) ahead of him. I really wouldn’t sweat, the Sox aren’t stupid to not add another starter. I’d be much more worried about them not adding another bat.
  15. Agree. I don’t think giving Richards $8M is going to be a problem, I think it’s pretty clear at this point that the Sox are ensuring there is no one more impactful available via trade before they lock in a free agent starter.
  16. Right now, Jimmy Cordero is probably the odd man out in the pen assuming Hendriks, Bummer, Marshall, Heuer, Foster, Crochet, Fry, & Lopez are all healthy. If we move Heuer, Cordero probably gets a job, with Burdi, Johnson, & Lambert all pushing him for that last spot.
  17. As much I’d like to believe there is an ounce of truth to that deal, there is no way in hell that dude is legit...lol
