At 4.5 back, Kansas City is done....Way to be cocky all summer Kansas City fans, but it's over. As for Minnesota, the White Sox are unstoppable right now, .

Well I don't know if you guys mentioned this, but why is Marte in now? He should've been used against Teixiera.

Sullivan looked GREAT in his debut!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :puke

Kickass...Is it on ESPN?

Adkins has gone 7-7 with a mediocre 3.91 AAA ERA... And Pacheco, who has been amazing as a starter in AA has an 11-2 Record and a 2.55 ERA...That's amazing. Personally I'd have groomed Cotts more in AA and tried to have cut down the walks since he is our BEST pitcher in the farm system....Maybe Pacheco would've handled the majors a bit better. Or at least let Pacheco come up in September and spot start. It'd be pretty cool to see him pitch.

Leaving Everett out = Big Mistake.

It'd be pathetic if the Yankees don't rough up Appier.

We need to make an all-bust team for the White Sox consiting of front office and players . BEVINGTON FOR MANAGER!
-
Heh, we're talkin about the bad signings and busts for the White Sox in a sarcastic way . Jon Rauch may be one of those guys in 3 years lol.

Who knows why the White Sox signed the big guy? To waste money? To have him post a 9.95 ERA in AAA? No. It's quite simple...for the pennant push! Castillo would be a great guy to get an automatic loss from the 5th starter spot! I mean when Wright starts he hasn't won yet? So why waste Wright in the rotation when you can have the same outcome with Wright in the pen? I guarentee that everytime Castillo would start, he'd lose, and then Wright would get his work in from the bullpen! Anyway I just felt like bringing Castillo up for no reason, just since he's in the organization again. It's funny how he was in the rotation once. He actually showed promise at age 22 with a decent 4.48 ERA. Then he sucked. We must've been awful when we hired Manuel. In one of my little nintendo baseball games Castillo is in it . It's hilarious. Anyway, yeah.....

First off let me say that the post "f*** Neal Cotts" is moronic and doesn't speak for any of us really. I'd like to say that I'm sorry that some people hear feel that it is necessary to bash a pitcher after his MAJOR LEAGUE DEBUT, just because he struggles to find control. I pitch myself and I have walked the bases full when I'm nervous or if I just don't have it. It is a tough thing. I mean they threw our BEST pitching prospect in a major league pennant race to make his first start, and I applaud Neal Cotts for sticking in their and holding down the lead the best he could. If Manuel let Cotts stay in, I'm sure he'd have gotten his stuff down. Give him another chance, he's got wicked stuff. And he hit 92 MPH last night, that was an eye opener. I think that you have to take the good out of the performance. Maybe his control was off, but those hitters were fooled most of the time. Konerko has 2 double plays to him last night while Cotts was pitching. They were hitting to the right side on change ups. The hitters were frustrated. Take out the walks and Cotts is pitching 1 run baseball. I am still very excited about this guy we have in our system, and I hope that he reads this, because this is how White Sox fans really think about him. I have to apologize for the expectations and stuff, but it's just because we are excited about the way Cotts pitches. If the minor leaguers read this, I hope they consider staying here and not leaving. And now all I have to say is...... GO NEAL COTTS AND GO SOX!!!

I sure hope Cotts uses Jerry's quotes as motivation.

You and Clujer make a good point. Loaiza really has had just 1 or 2 starts where he didn't deserve to win. It's kind of funny, he could've been 23-2 by now. And 3 1-0 losses and a 3-2 loss to TB is his teams fault. Pitiful run production.

Cubs Poem of all the teams across the land one team comes to mind the lowliest team in existence today truly one of a kind. the last time a series was won nary a person is still alive for just a couple hundred bucks, the majority will take a dive. they all hang out on the north side where aids is running wild. with all the other rump-rangers there, no worries of having a child sammy loves a good bottle of wine every once in a while. just look at all the bats he has corked for miles and miles but in this new millenium a series may be won somewhere near 2099 when the pope has a son. From JFooler30 Another Cubs poem The Cubs are a baseball team from the North Side, they haven't won a world series in years although they've tried. If you want to see one of their games it isn't cheap, they need money to pay their star who likes to cheat. Wood splintered everywhere when Sosa swung this bat, I couldn't believe what I was looking at. Full of surprise my mouth open wide, I couldn't believe it there was cork inside. After that my respect for Sosa went down the drain, Then later that night he tried to explain. I grabbed the wrong bat is what he did say, but he cheats and he still gets paid. By September it's usually crystal clear, that maybe this just isn't their year. The Cubs fans excuse and I quote, "Hey we suck because of the Curse of the Goat." They hired Dusty Baker maybe he's the one, that will save this team in the long run. But me I say that can't be done, His troubles have only just begun. But once again I can say this with pride, that the cubs suck and that's something they can't change or hide. From Brandon Keesee

Jim and Neal are so cool! I was hoping to get Neal's autograph at the Future's Game but I didn't see him. Seeing him dominate was good enough. BTW Cotts > Harden He did K up 2 in one inning "IIRC" . And Harden gave up 1 run in 1 inning too. Cotts is a pitcher who changes speeds well. That is why I am guessing he will have the same success as Gobble and Harden.

Everyone seems to be saying that Ross Gload is a spectacular hitter that never really got a chance to play in the Majors. I'd really like to see him play a few games for us so we don't pass up on him and let a team that can play him nab him off the Rule 5 and have him become a Jay Gibbons (also a Rule 5 pick).

1 year wonders usually are flukes because of their past, or their opponent. Loaiza has faced some good teams and his past is well...in the past. That cut fastball wasn't there last season. This is a brand NEW pitch. If he continues to throw it, he's going to be great as long as that pitch works like it is now.
-
I really think September is going to be just the White Sox and Twins grabbing 1st back and forth. KC will probably be like 4 out by the time we play them, and Minnesota will probably be a game back if things go right. That's how I see it. Minnesota is hot, Royal pitching is not. And as for the Sox, they gotta win, they're the Sox. The best team in this race!
-
Yeah, that's another think. He said Loaiza wouldn't win 20 and I'm like WTF he has 13 already. It was so funny. What does ELo do? Another 2 wins. 15-5 now. I mean come on, let's stop trashing a guy that's had like 1 bad outing.
-
I remember watching ESPN late last month and Tim Kurkjan (sp?) said that Loaiza is a pretender and will not win that many games after the All-Star Game. Not only did Loaiza make fools of the NL All-Stars, he's gone 4-0 with a 2.36 ERA I believe. And news to all the other doubters, the only winning team Loaiza has had trouble with was Seattle, and that's behind him now. All other teams he has dominated, and if it wasn't fore the dead offense against Detroit Loaiza could've been 17-3 right now, yes, 17-3. He has a 3-2 record vs. Detroit and a 1.23 ERA. It's amazing. Loaiza is for real, and I hope the White Sox pick up that option, because this guy has carried the team all season long and has not once complained about run support. I am also looking forward to our playoff push. Loaiza will probably win 20 games, and we have Cotts, Buehrle, Colon, and Garland to hold these teams down. I like them odds.

For the love of White Sox baseball!!!
