  1. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 08:07 PM) Fear the mighty Kotsay's BASERUNNING! Fixed...
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 08:01 PM) Yeah, 6"5' and 170 or something... Seriously somebody needs to feed Chris Sale. Constantly.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 02:46 PM) Wow are Jurko and Harry two ugly human beings. And sadly, their show sucks. ESPN 1000 hasn't been the same since 2006 when the Sox left them.
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 12:58 PM) I hope you were asking that same question in 1997 when Kenny gave up just 3.5 back. EDIT: And chasing 1 team. Wasn't that Ron Scheuler?
  5. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 10:34 AM) I said this at the beginning of this year and its showed not to be a dumb statement, I love Omar in the 2 hole and wish he could stay there the rest of the way. If Dayans/Morels not ready id actually prefer Omar over Teahen (with the way mark was swinging the bat this year). When does Mark come back??? if its before the deadline any chance we see him dealt? I don't know if Omar can play every day at his advanced age though.
  6. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 10:06 AM) His numbers are boosted by a great April and May and he's come down a lot since. He's also a career .270/.374/.422 hitter in the first half while just a career .246/.355/.381 hitter in the second. This is good?? I don't know if I agree with this either. I don't think he'd be light years better than Pierre. I know Pierre has been bad, but he has actually started to show a little life. And I love that he's a base stealing threat (Fukodome isn't that much of one). Pierre gives provides distractions to opposing pitchers whenever he gets on base. Plus, Fukudome would probably go through a bad bad adjustment period moving form the NL to the AL. No thanks. I thought he TURNED DOWN more money from the White Sox to play on the North Side when he was a free agent coming from Japan. Was this true?
  7. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 12:06 PM) New iPhone software is live! Don't even bother upgrading an iphone 3G with the new IOS 4 software. It is a colossial waste of time. You'll need at least an iphone 3Gs for all of the cool new features to work. The only difference I see is the ability to group programs into folders and ipod playlist stuff. Thankfully the iphone 4 will be here Thursday morning.
  8. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 09:33 AM) Because he's a left-handed, strong defensive RF who is currently hitting .281/.370/.449 which is much better than anyone on our team right now not named Konerko or Rios, and also because the Cubs will have to eat salary and move him for nothing, and furthermore it allows us to dump 2 bad contracts that extend beyond the year while improving the ballclub. Sounds like a great idea to me. Yeah but hasn't he been on a slump lately - which is signs that his average will sink back down to around .258?
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 09:18 AM) I don't even know where to start with this one. Try starting with why on Earth we would want Fukindone...
  10. How good is DeJesus defensively? Does he have a good arm? Also, he doesn't steal bases. I don't know if I would replace Pierre with him. I guess you would play him in RF and make Quentin the full time DH.
  11. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 11:59 AM) sdnjlhve kjvhjvi klservnnsdnj ajkjk j Really? How did you find that out? Link?
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 10:36 AM) And thanks for the $400,000, suckers. It's gotta suck to be only pulling in $400k when some of your teamates are making almost $15 million per year. Wait... I forgot to use the green text for that.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 20, 2010 -> 02:39 PM) Great defender, not much of a hitter. If we can acquire him and LaRoche, that'd be awesome. LaRoche strikes out a lil too much... and that's against NL pitching.
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 09:23 AM) He had the most appearances for the first 6-8 weeks of the season and was continually put into important situations early on. And he blew it and cost the Sox some wins? Eh... I still say I don't wanna ruin Sale's growth. Maybe they should try Threets first.
  15. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 09:11 AM) That's quite the large limb you went out on there. Randy Williams says hi. I didn't say that Randy Williams didn't suck. But Randy Williams isn't the only reason that the Sox got off to such a bad start. Has he cost us a lot of games? I haven't looked it up but it seems to me that he only been in during garbage time. I just don't wanna ruin the kid by bringing him up too soon. Let him marinate a lil bit in the minors and let's concentrate on getting some more hitting.
  16. QUOTE (Lillian @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 07:00 AM) The Hell with August. Bring him up!!!!!! Seriously, If everyone is worried about his motion, just let him be the LOOGY for the rest of this year. That would not give him enough innings to damage his arm, no matter how bad his mechanics might be. The funky motion might make him really hard to hit, if he isn't over exposed. He's supposed to have really good control, and two plus Big League pitches. That just might work as a LOOGY. He wanted a chance to get to the Majors this year, so I say give it to him. Apparently, he has plenty of self confidence. If he flops, then there is always "plan B". Let him go down to the Minors and prepare to be a starter next year. The Sox will have fulfilled their obligation to give him a shot at the Majors this year. It looks like a win - win situation to me. I'm not sure how smart it would be to let a kid like that come to the big show without paying his dues in the minor leagues first. Plus the Sox aren't dying right now for left handed pitching. Getting another left hand arm isn't what would put us over the top right now.
  17. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 11:40 PM) Did anyone notice the other night when the Sox beat the Pirates in the game where they made all those errors in the 9th, the highlights were Pedro Alvarez's first AB and then his errors in the 9th.. not a single Sox highlight from that game was in the reel.. And Baseball Tonight hardly ever has more than 30 seconds of White Sox info. But they give extensive coverage of the yanks and the red cubs. Karl Ravech and Jason Stark hate the White Sox too.
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 11:32 PM) I've said this probably 5843274573473484 times in the last year and a half. So let's make it 54734764374374374373474 and 1 more time: THERE IS NO REASON WHATSOEVER TO WATCH ESPN FOR BASEBALL PURPOSES!!!!!! MLB NETWORK IS KING!!!!!!! I hear you, but unfortunately I have AT&T U-Verse, and they don't carry the MLB Network. I watched MLB Network all the time when I still had Comcast though.
  19. Freaking ESPN... They report on the game and all they talk about is Strasburg. They don't even mention Gavin's name. I used to love them, but I've been steadily losing respect for anything ESPN since 2005 when Berman almost cried on air when we swept the Red Cubs in the first round.
  20. I don't think Teahen is getting his job back. Not this year.
  21. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 10:19 AM) Please don't get no hit please don't get no hit please don't get no hit please don't get no hit please don't get no hit please don't get no hit please don't get no hit THANKS!!!
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 07:17 PM) Carlos Quentin is one of the most interesting players in baseball... I hear that Dos Equis guy is his uncle...
