  1. Was it mentioned on here that the boston red cubs were interested in Rios?
  2. CQ = Clueless Quentin Teahen playing just good enough for KW to continue to have faith in him
  3. LOL I wonder if Paulie just looked at Teahen and was like "Dude, WTF"??
  4. Good Lord that play had Peavy leg injury written all over it. Well he may not have been injured, but he just got bombed.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 30, 2010 -> 01:20 PM) I'm the one leading the charge to try dealing him this July...as long as we get a King's ransom back for him. I understand what you're saying, but are we all ready to watch the Sox suck for the next couple of years while the kids they get in return mature?
  6. Freaking Rios.... He's going to mess around and play his way out of town...
  7. AJ with another ground ball double bounce in the stands that costs a run lol
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 27, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) That is the day my interest in baseball is reduced to almost nothing. A tech Ump would suck. human error and judgement is part of the game and makes it so anythign can happen on any given day. Not mine. I wanna know if a guy is truly safe or not. I wanna know that a pitch really crossed the plate or not. Anything can still happen and the games will be decided fairly. Just like in basketball when they talk about "veteran calls". WTF? You mean to tell me that was a foul on Kobe Bryant and not a foul on some bench warmer? Baseball isn't as bad as basketball, but you still see some things that are obviously wrong. I just don't like how umps force themselves into games like that.
  9. He's a fat pig who seems jealous of the players. I CAN'T STAND umps and referees like him. Get your fat ass back in the corner and do your job. We didn't pay to see you. If you want to be a star, then so something worthy of being a star. Umps and refs have WAY too much power in sports. With technology today, I honestly believe that we can get rid of them all together, or reduce their role dramatically. I have no use for them.
  10. It would certainly be nice if JP went out and DOMINATED the Rays on Sunday and was the stud pitcher that we all thought he would be.
  11. QUOTE (hogan873 @ May 27, 2010 -> 06:25 AM) Couldn't have said it better. Also, did you see him pitch last year? That Pittsburgh game last year immediately comes to mind. I think the Bobby Jenks ship has sailed. He would fit nicely with an NL team.
  12. QUOTE (hogan873 @ May 27, 2010 -> 06:55 AM) Win today and get the ship righted. A series win in Tampa would be huge! But let's start with today. Pitch your ass off Gavin! 6 games out. Wow. And the twins have another game against the yanks today. I know it's early but I wonder what KW will do if (and that's a big IF) the Sox can get it down to 3 out before All Star break? There still is that extra Johnny Damon money laying around, right? Go Steelmem.
  13. Good Lord. Don't high 5 anybody, just get your fat a$$ in the dugout.
  14. QUOTE (TitoMB @ May 26, 2010 -> 01:44 PM) Well, we're probably going to lose this game. I'm all for just DFA'ing the fatass. He's 100% worthless. This. How long will it be before his fat a$$ is taken out?
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 26, 2010 -> 01:42 PM) I partially blame Ozzie for putting Jenks in in a game where it wasn't even a save situation. Our bullpen is depleted enough and you go and use the closer in a 4 run game? *Sigh... Stop blaming Ozzie. He got tossed a long time ago.
  16. If Bobby Jenks blows this game, he should never get another chance to close for the White Sox again.
  17. QUOTE (gordonventura38 @ May 26, 2010 -> 10:09 AM) Lineup: Pierre LF AJ C Rios CF PK 1B Kotsay DH CQ RF Teahen 3B Ramirez SS Beckham 2B Buehrle P CQ is my pick to click. I'm looking for 2 bombs minimum. It's time for him to straighten his sh*t out and for him earn that T back in front of his initials.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 26, 2010 -> 08:41 AM) I wonder if, once June 1 rolls around, it might not make sense to give Peavy a 15 day "Tired arm" DL trip and give Hudson a few starts. I have an even better idea... How about when June 1 rolls around, he's sent to the Cardinals or the Cubs or to the Mets or some other NL team in exchange for some prospects. I think maybe he belongs in the NL.
  19. Man that loss last night was a kick in the nads. What the hell Jake Peavy? Shut up and pitch!!!
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 25, 2010 -> 12:36 PM) It's always hard to get in there as a reliever when there are others racking up saves. Rivera's there by default, Valverde and Soriano have ERA's under 1.4, Rauch has 10 saves and an ERA of 2.65, Andrew Bailey has an ERA of 1.02 and a ROY award. If you start looking past closers and just as relievers, Will Ohman hasn't given up a run in 14 innings, Tony Sipp (Cle) has a 1.52 ERA, and this Sergio Santos dude has an 0.52 ERA. Ah... good post. Makes a lot of sense. That Sergio Santos dude is pretty damn good so far. He'll make a fine closer for some team soon.
