I'm just saying it seems indicative of how the system is run and it's a bad look for an organization that has been historically known to be run by an owner that's doesn't like to spend money. From the article:

And we wonder why 1) The Sox always seem to have trouble developing player through their minor league system and 2) why no big name free agents will ever sign here. I'm not saying this is the sole reason or even a big reason but this is just a small part of how the organization is run.

I just watched that on Netflix last week. Wasn't quite what I expected based on the description it had but still pretty good.

The only difference between when you grew up and now is that we didn't have the internet showing us every single story happening 24/7. Kidnappings, shootings and stabbings happened plenty back then. You just didn't hear about them as much.

Yea, that's absolutely on Tony. I mean the players have to execute but when you intentionally put them in bad spots you can't blame them when they don't. How many times in the history of ever has a player been IBB on a 1-2 count?

Yea, I just read that gas in France (I think?) is like $7/gallon right now. But they don't have those little "I did that" stickers all over their pumps.

The biggest complaint I've heard is the range and the lack of charging stations. So if you want to take a long trip somewhere, there is always the worry that you'll get stuck somewhere with no place to charge the batteries. Other than that, I've heard worry over the cost of replacing the batteries when the time comes. I'm also part of an RVing forum and there's a lot of discussion over the actual towing capacities of the electric trucks.

I'm of the belief that coaches and managers get too much credit when the team is good and too much blame when the team is bad. But that being said, I don't think they are completely useless either. Even at the professional level. I know from when I played sports myself and having watched my daughter being coached for many years in bowling, sometimes you don't notice what you are doing wrong when you are doing it. Sometimes a good coach can make a small suggestion of something to change or an adjustment to make and it can make a big difference. I've also seen coaches that don't do anything at all and their players never improve.

You know... that's a pretty crazy idea... but it just might work! I've been looking at stats and I've discovered that teams that score more runs than their opponents tend to win more games. I think the Sox should employ this strategy as well.

They absolutely were. They hadn't won a post-season series in the 88 years prior and haven't won another one since then, I mean it was fun as hell at the time and I'll never forget it but that's kinda the definition of a fluke.

Thinking back to many of the teachers I had over the years, I agree. I think there are probably a lot that wouldn't even want to either.

That's kinda interesting. I know some people put a lot of stock into this "stat" but the Yankees, Twins and Padres are showing that it doesn't really matter.
