Jerry is the definition of low risk high reward. Put as little money/effort into winning as possible and if every single little thing goes right,,. If every ball bounces exactly the right way... then you have 2005. On the other hand, if everything goes bad you have 2024.

Moncada is in his 9th season and Jimenez is in his 6th. Between the 2 of them they have exactly 2 seasons where one of them had a WAR over 2. Both of them were Moncada. 2019 (5.2) and 2021 (4). "Star" players have career low years of 2 WAR.

A better comparison would've been gas stations. They've been using "dynamic pricing" for decades. I can drive by a station in the morning and it's one price and then in the afternoon it's a different price. You never really know exactly how much you are going to pay. People grumble about it but what are we supposed to do? Just not buy gas?

That's true. I remember spending literal years searching for a single song that I heard on a movie once. I had a hard time even figuring out who the artist was until I got the VHS. Turns out there was no soundtrack ever produced or released for the movie. Now I can just go to Youtube and listen to it whenever I want.

You must have some kids raised by Gen X'rs. My daughter is often surprised when she knows about some older song that I introduced her to when she was younger and her friends/co-workers have never heard of it.
