It's pretty clear that the timeline has shifted a bit and Carlos will be headed towards free agency in/at the start of the contention window. Especially with the reluctance to get Kopech and Eloy's feet wet until next season. Might as well listen for an over-pay, or possibly set the ground work for a winter deal.
