  1. It's the kind of tagline you use when the team itself is going to be s***ty.
  2. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 06:32 PM) Trayce Thompson is impressing me. He's been swinging a pretty good bat. 2-2 and nailed a runner at the plate. If he improves on his contact rate and pitch recognition, look out.
  3. Lol Ken Williams Jr. pinch hitting. Or he was a defensive substitution that wasn't previously mentioned
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 10, 2012 -> 04:58 PM) Wild pitch. 2-2. Can't say I'm happy about it. I'm rather indifferent to the White Sox winning or losing for all spring training games.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 10, 2012 -> 03:33 PM) I know people have said his swing is still long but hasn't he been hitting acceptably so far this spring? 2 - 8 with a 2B and 5 SO.
  6. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 10, 2012 -> 02:26 PM) Ahhh - I see, I thought it was free to stream audio on 670 online. Thanks for the insight and also for the free video feed. No problem. I purchase MLB Gameday Audio myself, but opening the audio stream freezes the video for some reason. Guess I need to go find a radio.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 10, 2012 -> 02:22 PM) Hmmm, not sure to get it online unless you pay $14.99 for MLB Gameday Audio. But maybe someone else can help. The games also used to be carried at ilemi.eu, but those are regular season games. Right. That's what I'm saying. I don't think you can just go to radio websites and stream games. You have to pay to listen via MLB Gameday Audio,
  8. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 10, 2012 -> 02:20 PM) Odd, when I listed to the SCORE 670 online - it is just playing something about college basketball. Not sure how to get the game feed from the SCORE. Any suggestions? Can you normally listen to games online? I don't think you can in season at least.
  9. I guess there is video? http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/video/play...96&c_id=cws Maybe no audio? Weird.
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 9, 2012 -> 04:10 PM) Maybe it was the pitches he was facing, but watching Jordan Danks, it is little wonder he strikes out so much. Seems like he is making his swing decision way, way early, and has a slow load-up. Yep. The knock on Jordan has been his long swing since forever.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 9, 2012 -> 02:16 PM) I hate seeing AJP batting 2nd I hate seeing AJP.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 05:56 PM) Link Surprised he didn't mention Harvard Westlake's Max Fried as well. Probably my favorite prep arm in the draft. Kind of nice to see Robin at least semi-knowledgable on some of the upcoming class.
  13. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 03:52 PM) Yep. That's why they have to be 100% right on Jo. Danks, Sale, and Molina Jordan Danks? He's a 4th/5th OF with his strikeout rate. It's also completely unrealistic to hit on every top prospect. It's why farm system depth is so necessary. Prospects bust. Quite frequently in fact. You can't just grab two or three guys you like and call it a day. What if Molina is a middle of the rotation guy or even a reliever like many scouts believe? What if Sale is the same? I can tell you that the chances that both players end up as top of the rotation starters is very remote.
  14. Ugh. Anyone else's stomach sink when they saw Mitchell chasing a ball near the wall? Bad memories man.
  15. Huge drop in stock for Giolito as one would imagine. Pretty good chance he heads to UCLA now.

  17. As much as I'd like Kenny to keep selling, it seems he's crossing his fingers that this team isn't awful. If things go south he can trade Thornton/Gavin down the line.
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 5, 2012 -> 03:48 PM) He's one I like, I put him a lot higher as a prospect than others do. I think he surprises some people. I'm intrigued by him as well. Think I had him 20th.
