Chapter 151: the future (6:10pm, CSN)
Moose has been on a tear lately.

Chapter 151: the future (6:10pm, CSN)
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 17, 2011 -> 07:29 PM) Stewart just doesn't have good stuff. Really can't project him as a starter I see him as a back of the rotation guy and stated as such at the time of the trade. I think people were way too high on him.

Chapter 151: the future (6:10pm, CSN)
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 17, 2011 -> 07:27 PM) Yup. Playin' with fire all night. These Royals can hit. With Monty stalling, Lamb undergoing TJ, and Odorizzi far away, the Royals desperately need some pitching with that offense. I wouldn't be surprised if they deal some of their farm for a legitimate pitcher this offseason. Not unlike Cleveland and Ubaldo. (Though I still dislike that trade for the Indians.)

The Royals finally cash in. Stewart has not looked good tonight.

If the Dodgers hold on, the Sox move into the 14th draft slot.

Sox playing someone tonight
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 09:52 PM) Losing definitely doesn't hurt right now. Cleveland isn't doing us any favors unfortunately.

Game Thread?
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 03:45 PM) Avila deserves some MVP votes Absolutely. I'd kill for a catcher like him.

Don't tease me...
QUOTE (SI1020 @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 02:32 PM) Reading Jim's article makes me think he is an excellent baseball analyst. Far above anyone on the Trib or Sun Times. Jim is fantastic. His pieces are almost always worth a read.

9/11/11 GT: Sox vs Cle - 1:10pm CDT CSN
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 11, 2011 -> 04:30 PM) Me and fathom both agreed he is the future closer of this team. Not a doubt in my mind. (no disrespect to Santos who has had an outstanding year) I'm of this opinion as well. Goldstein predicts him to have a Kimbrel like impact next year.

The 2012 Bullpen
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 10, 2011 -> 10:51 AM) That's ridiculous. Not picking up the option on a 34-year old serviceable reliever will not make the Hudson deal look worse. Let him walk, collect the draft pick, and move on. I hope Frasor doesn't want to return so the Sox have little risk in offering him arbitration. Lord knows the Sox need draft picks.

Congratulations on #2000, Pierre
Arbitrary endpoints are awesome.

Brent Morel
I'm a Morel fan, always have been. The bat has come around a bit as noted. I'd give him another season in hopes of further improvement, especially since I don't think next year's team will be very competitive.

Game 2: The DeathMarch Continues
This is probably the most uninspiring Twins lineup I've ever seen. It's not even remotely interesting either.

Game 2: The DeathMarch Continues
QUOTE (JoshPR @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 07:32 PM) Say what you want bout Pierre but he's up to almost . 290 I'll point to his -0.1 fWAR.

Game 2: The DeathMarch Continues
QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 06:32 PM) Isn't Axelrod in the pen, in case Zach Stewart bombs again? Possibly. He could also be replacing Peavy if he's shut down by the Sox. Seems like that is what Peavy wants based off his post-shelling interview.

ESPN Sunday Night Game
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 10:43 PM) Heard that Cowley's going off on Sox fans on twitter. Anything interesting? Not really. More like offering fixes for next year's team. He wants to trade Quentin and Floyd, extend Danks and resign MB. Wants to send Gavin to NY for Brett Gardner. Also wants Dunn in Winter Ball.

ESPN Sunday Night Game
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 10:39 PM) The sox are bad, but they ain't catchin Houston, Baltimore, KC, Seattle, Minnesota. Doubt that'll catch the Cubs, Padres, Florida, Pirates and Nats either. Getting the 13th pick is probably the best realistic possibility. I'd be happy if they fell into the first 15 in the rare event the organization decides to sign another Type A.

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 10:04 PM) I don't think I would pay attention to that team. Seconded.
