After 2016, LaRoche contract up Kemp could DH. Make no mistake, I think Kemps last couple years might not be pretty so the fight is over what SD kicks in in salary relief. If you get Dodgers money and SD kicks in 2 the first two years and 4-5 the next two maybe it works. From our point of view, I like it. I can't get my arms around it from Pad's point of view. Trouble is, San Diego is now on a winning streak, partly because of Kemp's improved play.

Seems like there are more intriguing prospects in the low minors than most years.

Too bad we could not have traded him for Rangel Ravelo.

Perez might have leap-frogged over Alfaro, who, for some reason is on the Sox Top 30 list.

He came to Sox in 1949 for an obscure catcher named Aaron Robinson. Perhaps the greatest Sox trade ever. His big disappointment was not playing in the 1959 World Series; never understood Al Lopez' logic on that one. He did appear in 1962 WS with Giants. Class act.
