QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Feb 8, 2012 -> 03:28 PM) Nope. Are they from the game, or is that some real child cartoon that someone made a fake episode for and incorporated Skyrim. But whoever made that is a really good job w/ those drawings/graphics. Ah In the game the player is the Dovahkiin, or Dragonborn. This was a spoof that made them the Dovahkids, like a Saturday morning cartoon.

2011-12 White Sox off season catch all thread
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Feb 8, 2012 -> 03:55 PM) He doesn't have the Marlins 29th. That would be the Indians. And most publications that had both Marinez and Martinez in the Marlins top 10, were from before last season. 2012 rankings would have dropped them significantly after both had down seasons, even if they remained with the Marlins. Either way, going by Sickels at the moment looking at "B" prospects: Marlins Yelich: B+ Ozuna: B Fernandez: B Realmuto: B- Dominguez: B- Rasmussen: B- James: B- Conley: B- White Sox Reed: B+ Molina B+ That's it. Both teams have 8 C+ prospects. Comparisons show that it isn't even close. Comparing BP's prospects rankings of both teams is just as damning. Ok, that makes a lot more sense. Thank you.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Feb 8, 2012 -> 12:10 PM) Keith Law doesn't like our minor league system. While I am w/ the people who think he has irrational hate towards the Sox, it's hard to say this has any relation to that. He writes.... How are we not close to the Marlins?

Official 2012-2013 NCAA Football Thread
Reasons DGB is in Missouri 1) His home state. And some people on campus said his mother had cancer, which makes everything very easy to comprehend. I hope that's not the case. 2) A passing offense with an explosive RB to take pressure off of him. 3) He, the HS All Time Receiving Yards Leader, joins Maty Mauk, the HS All Time Passing Yards Leader 4) He's a 3 star basketball recruit for us as well. Without size outside of Bowers, he could probably get a spot next year. 5) Gary Pinkel visited him, in a damn helicopter. 6) At both of his visits (Football and Basketball) the student sections had shirts that said MIZ-DGB, chanted MIZ-DGB, and roared with cheering whenever he did anything. 7) SEC move. 8) Reportedly Arkansas' biggest selling point was it is his brothers favorite school.

Peavy ready for bounce back season
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 8, 2012 -> 10:35 AM) JR doesn't let anyone just walk away from their jobs unless they really want to. Ozzie Guillen. He let him walk because he was making a mockery of the franchise.

Peavy ready for bounce back season
I'd eat with Ozzie back in 1986 when he told my brother "I am your favorite player, you are my favorite fan." It's a hellishly cool home video and my brother was 3. He's been more of an Ozzie fan then Greg since that day. Today's Ozzie? He complain about everything, brag about his "sacrifices", and then talk about his money while going "jajajajajaja"

Peavy ready for bounce back season
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 05:00 PM) Tbe White Sox haven't historically been tbe gold standard in regards to winning. Thank God for the Cubs or they would be in the photo for the poster child of the opposite. KW won a WS so having a bad decade is wrong. It is time though to put to rest that stringing together 82 to 88 win seasons and not making tbe playoffs the way the divisions are now set up is a success. KW is making excuses now.Read the quote at the bottom of ss2k5s posts then read his quotes at the end of last season patting himself on the back for building teams that spend time during the season in first place. Its time KW leave. This. I also want to point out that KW would be regarded as well as Theo if the Cubs hadn't been around, as he would have broken the longest "curse" in baseball.

Peavy ready for bounce back season
QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 11:35 PM) I am not the only Sox fan outraged that Mark is gone. You guys sometimes fail to realize some people actually do agree with me on some of these issues. You sometimes fail to realize that those people are thinking 99% with their emotions and have never run a business before.

2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread
QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 03:03 PM) Pet Peeve #2 - The amount and degree of players flopping in college basketball is getting ridiculous. Two Ohio State players gave two of the biggest fake flops I've ever seen the past two weeks. One was so bad last week against Michigan, the OSU player (Thomas or Sullinger, I think?) flew back and hit the floor and the replay showed he was never touched by an elbow. It appeared there were 4-6 inches between the elbow and his face. I was watchign with the sound down so I might have missed something. They whistled the Michigan player for the foul and then went to the monitor to see if it was flagrant per the new rules and saw there wasn't any contact. The next thing I saw was Michigan taking the ball out of bounds, so they had to have reversed the call and taken the foul away. Last night, Robbie Hummel was driving on the wing leading with his forearm as is common. Before he made contact with the IU defender, he threw his head and shoulders back like he had been hit by a truck and ultimately went to the floor. There was contact and a foul was called on IU which will get no argument from me, but to watch his head and shoulders flop before contact was even made was ridiculous! I wish guys would just play the damned game!!! I am completely amazed that IU scored 78 points last night and even Purdue getting 61. At the 11:34 mark in the first half, Purdue led 9-8 and both teams were a combined 5-34 shooting from the field. If I wasn't an IU fan I would have changed the station in a hurry. I thought we were headed for another game in the 40's. Strange stat - In a game Purdue lost by 17 at home, they only had 3 turnovers for the entire game. Their first TO didn't come until about 5 minutes remained in the game. Amazing. If Kim English makes it to the NBA, he'll become legendary for his flopping skills.
