Imagine if we had locked him up with some escalating options or something a few years ago. Just imagine we had former Sox major leaguers Jose Abreu, Carlos Rodon, Chris Bassitt, Marcus Semien and Jose Quintana.

Engel and Victor Reyes are much better AAAA depth than we're used to. The problem is right now we don't have the OF depth to make them AAAA depth.

Steve Cohen is just flexing on the rest of the league my GOD. -
Put some respect on former White Sox top prospect Simon Castro! For real though, if anyone thinks the current farm is bad, the Nestor Molina / Simon Castro days were real bad.

Clearly not grasping for straws here.

This stat annoys me because until 1969, there wasn't even an LCS. We're all aware of the World Series drought, but this is "I am very smart" people trying to present it differently. It's basically ragging on the 50s and 60s White Sox for being worse than Mickey Mantle's Yankees during the regular season. 5 times they finished 2nd in the AL, 5 times they finished 3rd. That being said, 53 years of playoff failure is also fucking abysmal, and Jerry has been in charge for 41 of those.

I was about to say don't count out the Pirates front office, but they'd offer one fourth. -

Cohen is also competing for a casino license. Which would go right by Citi Field. So if the Mets are good and foot traffic is heavy, he profits. Edit: Jerry could also follow the simple formula of good team + invest in infrastructure / entertainment around stadium besides parking = profit, but, no.

Some dudes in 2019. Swanson isn't as good as them, but he's not gonna look as pricey in a few years, like how Harper looks real affordable now. -

Why do I feel like this is all going to unfold in a lengthy, 20 minute read by James Fegan about how fallout from Yermin's 3-0 home run caused an irreparable fissure in the clubhouse that festered and continued to grow until things just completely fell apart.
