AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
This post from the Twins' reddit board has become a meme on the overall baseball reddit and it feels like it needs to come here in lieu of looking at that stat. This was posted on April 5. Lmao.

2021 MLB Draft Thread
I might be alone in this, but I've liked the past two years with targeting fast-rising college players followed by high ceiling prep player. Would have been nice if that was the 2018 strategy with Joe Gray or Alek Thomas instead of Steele Walker, but that's firmly in the past and has been litigated 1000 times.

A combination of 9.3M of Al's Italian Beef sandwiches, Portillo's hot dogs, Manny's corned beef sandwiches, and steaks from assorted restaurants.

7/6 Games
2 thoughts: 1) Look at Yogurt go. 2) Does every minor league team have a beach blanket? I know Charlotte has one.

If this season has taught me anything, it's that we're about to see Gunnar Troutwine come up and rake for two weeks for no discernable reason.

The "Could Feasibly Happen, but Would Still Be a Big Deal" Trades
I'll admit I forgot this, but also assuming Hahn tries to lock up Giolito, Vaughn, Kopech, Cease, etc.

The "Could Feasibly Happen, but Would Still Be a Big Deal" Trades
They're only $5M under the luxury tax line this year. That's a hard pill to swallow if you're an under .500 club. They can drop Cutch, but any improvement will come via salary injections. Sox are $38M under and obviously have raises on the horizon - and adding Harper pushes them even closer - but if JR and TLR want to gamble super hard, well, maybe it's worth it. Plus, you have to imagine the City Connect Harper jerseys would pay for roughly 75% of the contract.

The "Could Feasibly Happen, but Would Still Be a Big Deal" Trades
To answer my own question and revisit Harper/Machado-mania, Harper seems to be disgruntled in Philly and wants the Phillies to be "worth it" for Dombrowski to make moves. If the Phillies are out of it by the deadline, the Sox might be able to pull something off, but have no clue what the price would be - depending on how much money the Sox take on / I don't think Dombrowski has ever been in sell-mode.

The "Could Feasibly Happen, but Would Still Be a Big Deal" Trades
Well, injuries blow, especially because coming into this year this was one of (if not the) most talented Sox teams in decades. What's your, and we're all conditioned to recoil at the term for obvious reasons, "all in" move that the Sox can make?

Gavin Sheets - STUD
I need to amend this - Sheets wasn't in Schaumburg. He did the OF work on his own, so he did sneak up on the Sox a bit as a fielder. Dude's work ethic has to be commended.

Gavin Sheets - STUD
He had raw power, but his in-game power was dismal for a first baseman, but he was always a hard worker and was easy to root for. Then his game power emerged in Birmingham, but he wasn't putting up top prospect numbers (.266/.346/.710) and Vaughn was available. That prompted him to develop as a right fielder in Schaumburg. This year he began mashing in Charlotte and got more OF reps. The Sox gave him all the time he needed to develop as a hitter, power hitter, and fielder. They knew what they had, but it seems the rest of us didn't.

Heyman: Sox interested in someone on some team. Nightengale: *nods*
Thanks for clarifying. It seemed absolutely ludicrous that Heyman would even float that hypothetical.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
As much as I've ragged on Tony, the man has to get some credit for the next man up spirit this team has had this season.

Panic trading a future core piece like Crochet for Frazier is a bad, bad move.
