  1. Well if players don't get alerted by their GMs, umps can't toss them, right?
  2. Merged these topics, but left a link so everything won't get split up.
  3. And if only a Redditor hadn't been posting about it during the damn World Series. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/news/astros-sign-stealing-scandal-reddit/guv8c2tyeb4h1gx9h61qapv6k
  4. Situation is broken down in this thread. Basically, Sox are looking at him. He's asking for a lot. The above video just likely happened at their academy.
  5. The suspension came because of the fight, not because Keller had a hurt ego.
  6. - Tim hit for celebrating a homer, doing things that make baseball popular. Manfred does nothing. - Astros draw cheat, Manfred gotta protect them.
  7. He'S oNlY aN aThLeTe, NoT a BaSeBaLl PlAyEr
  8. Yes, I'd be thinking of a bad tattoo. GTFO Correa.
  9. Bellinger just ripped Crane a new one and said Altuve stole the MVP. The hatred for the Astros is real around the league.
  10. From the NY Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/14/sports/soccer/manchester-city-champions-league-ban.htm You could argue this was less egregious than the Astros.
  11. A real "fuck you" penalty would have been no picks in the top 10 rounds for 2 years, no international signings for 2 years, and a $200k fine for every game MLB discovered cheating in (count it as a separate instance of cheating). The max fine is $5M...so work your way around it. That would have been an example set. Instead you have "we don't think it affected the outcome."
  12. I feel like Giolito is much more surprising than EE. And I'm sorry - how is Eduardo Escobar on their by not Giolito?
  13. It's fascinating watching players around the league react in real time. It's gonna get real ugly for the Astros.
  14. He's definitely out of their range and, Jimmy can correct if I'm wrong, a player backing out at this point would be extremely rare.
  15. Based on no other information in terms of skill or requisite space needed to sign prospects, Sox need to trade for cap space so they can get this kid and Colas, load up on Cubans and have just nightmarish speed on the paths
  16. It's better to look at it from the angle that the Sox are casting a wide net. If they miss on Colas, go for Cespedes.
  17. You know, suddenly I understand Chance's asking price.
  18. Personally, I'd love it if he took 25 - I feel like that's always associated with power guys.
  19. I am not @Y2Jimmy0, so the most I can give you is this article on Yoelkis: https://www.espn.com/blog/onenacion/post/_/id/6868/the-cespedes-brothers-yoenis-and-yoelkis-are-not-quite-alike
