  1. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 07:55 PM) Maybe Vieira coming up This would be my guess.
  2. Jose would need to have one or two monstrous MVP type seasons and lead the team to a ring. Otherwise, extremely unlikely.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 7, 2018 -> 11:58 PM) Sox need to suck it up and not let that horrific loss result in a 10 game losing streak. We lose 10 in a row or eight of 10 and the tank police are gonna come out again and most of the board will be rooting for losses. I personally think we are nowhere near "better than expected." This team is way worse than last years. Holy hell we haven't even hit 10 games. Step back from the ledge.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 7, 2018 -> 12:00 PM) A trade war at all doesn't really benefit China, yet here we are. Everyone loses a trade war.
  5. QUOTE (harkness @ Apr 6, 2018 -> 04:11 PM) Oops I looked at it wrong! However... I still think its way to early to pronounce the greatness of Yolmer Sanchez. Fan graphs had him ranked 2.2 war #14 ranked 2b last year. I'd take a middle-of-the-pack starter as a switching-hitting supersub with superb defense and power any day of the week.
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 6, 2018 -> 08:48 PM) Hitting .154 Trade him straight up for Schwarber.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 11:11 PM) Nice win. I know home runs are flying out of parks the last two years but some of the Sox homers this season have truly been crushed. My faves: Davidson, Abreu did well. And my nemesises: Nate and Soria did well too. I hope Fulmer is great. Why in the world is Nate Jones a nemesos.
  8. Man, I want to be mad at GarPax but a rotation of this: PG - Payne/Arci SG - Nwaba/Grant SF - Holiday/Kilpatrick PF - Lauri/Portis C - Felicion/Vonley Should be getting obliterated in any game. The Bulls clearly signaled they were tanking with the Butler trade, but it seems that as injuries and poor play piled on, teams just decided half way through to tank hard or not even try. A normal year has what, the Bulls and Hawks tanking, Kings and Suns trying to develop along, and the Nets, Knicks, Magic, and Mavericks trying to make the playoffs. Man the league needs to fix this.
  9. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 3, 2018 -> 10:08 PM) I applaud the effort Delmonico... you weren't close at all, but I applaud the effort. Schwarber-esque right there.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 3, 2018 -> 01:57 PM) I don't know that we will get 6. Need to pretty much lose out. I'm hoping we get lucky and Michael Porter magically falls to us and is magically healthy and becomes amazing or that we get lucky with the lottery odds. At 6 you should be able to get Bamba or Porter. I''d be happy with either - just gotta get there. If Ayton, Doncic, Porter, Bagley, Bamba and Jackson are gone, go with Mikal and roll the dice on a Mitchell Robinson type with the Pels pick.
  11. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 3, 2018 -> 09:51 PM) I saw a picture of him from spring training workouts and dude is absolutely jacked. After that homer, I'm not unconvinced Yolmer isn't actually the Hulk.
  12. Following this thread, it's kinda funny how at any point Beer, Turang and Singer were all #1s that we salivated over. Baseball scouting is insane.
  13. Greg, have you stopped listening to Rush and Fox News?
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 30, 2018 -> 11:55 PM) Ugh. Sox lost Tatis Jr. because the GM traded him in a stupid move. Why does Hahn get such a free pass on here? If you are being serious, I would be amazed. It's a stretch to blame the Sox for starting quickly and the GM thinking he was adding a piece for the playoffs. I blame the guy who made the trade. Don't you...hate relying on prospects?
  15. Most out there I can get but still could happen - Micker, Sept. call up
  16. Well, we know who Kopech will bounce from the rotation
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 10:45 AM) We have also used that money to bring in about half a dozen upper level minor league players, so you can't just look at the total number. Yeah, it's more like Robert, Yzzari, Burr, Vieria and now Pinto.
  18. How to build a bullpen using money you can't spend anyway: an op-ed by Rick Hahn.
  19. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Feb 28, 2018 -> 12:46 PM) Every non-playoff team should have an equal shot at any draft pick in the lottery. Not really complex. Then #7 and #8 seeds try to tank in. Maybe equal odds, but you can't have a top 5 pick in consecutive years
  20. QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 23, 2018 -> 04:45 PM) No legs, but saw an interesting post on Twitter. If the bulls get a Top 5 pick, and let’s say the NO pick is like 14, do you trade both for Kwahi? Would the Spurs do it? The Bulls? No for Bulls - you're guaranteed one of Ayton, Bamba, Bagley, Doncic, Jackson, or Porter in that case. On the cheap. Kawhi facing a max contract the following year lowers his value in a deal. I'd do Portis, Grant, a massive TPE, Pels pick and 2019 pick. The Spurs say no unless it gets absolutely toxic. I'd say that's equivalent of what the Bulls got for Jimmy and their own first at the time of that trade. Dunn sucked last year, LaVine was no defense scorer coming up on an extension and trading up in the first. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 23, 2018 -> 10:21 PM) It looks like Jimmy Butler just tore his ACL. Meniscus, but Thibsball claims another.
  21. Trump says he would have run into the high school even if he didn't have a gun.
  22. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 23, 2018 -> 02:13 PM) Anybody check this out? It's silly as hell but I was entertained. https://grandstandcentral.com/the-next-80-n...im-ad1a78d7a129 2K18 simulation breaking down/predicting the next 80 nba champions. According to this, the Bulls are about to go on a 90's-like run starting in 2023. NBA champs in '23, '24, '26, '27, '28. Again, this is silly and means absolutely nothing. I thought it was at least fun to scroll through. Jordan Bell signs with Bulls for cash considerations
