  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 13, 2016 -> 12:31 AM) Get rid of Lawrie. Case closed. I guess everybody devalues Saladino cause of where he was chosen in the draft. Sorry, stat nerds (I say that lovingly) and draftniks ... the eye test is all that matters on Saladino. Sox are too dumb to play him, however. Sox scouts and front office and coaching staff is a fricking joke. Uh, no one said that. As for Saladino, keep him as a super sub for right now. But definitely needs to be playing near daily.
  2. Obviously this isn't an indictment of all police, but seems like yeah, here we are again.
  3. QUOTE (raBBit @ Sep 12, 2016 -> 08:09 PM) HRC's VP Kaine: "Hillary's energy on the campaign staggers me." Looks like it staggers her as well. C'mon Kaine. Don't tee up like that.

Man, if Q didn't have that bad start a few days ago he might have been the frontrunner.
  5. Forte had a pretty good game for the Jets.
  6. Pneumonia. Talk about bad timing. That said, I've collapsed from worst (granted, I'm epileptic). Still, bad look and she's gonna have to address it.

Then why did you ignore the veteran in this thread?

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 11, 2016 -> 01:16 PM) Well, I don't know what to say. I haven't used this much in my arguments, but Colin's behavior is hard to take seriously when he had those socks calling police pigs. Almost all NFL coaches have that "one for all" attitude and I don't see how Colin saying "look at me" can help any team cause. I hate the cliches but I imagine his coach is pissed beyond belief with one guy going off on his own like that. Do it in the offseason if you have to do it at all. Besides, he did offend the military. A lot of military have died protecting freedom. Those military members treat the anthem with utmost respect. You don't really care about the military.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 11, 2016 -> 01:06 PM) Why laugh when those 2 articles suggest Chelsea might run? Why laugh when we know we're more apt to elect Democrats than Republicans to the oval office? Why laugh when we're in a day and age you don't have to have any political experience to run? Why laugh when Chelsea seems to (finally) be enjoying being in the public eye and hearing her own voice in interviews? Finally why laugh when a large segment of Americans think it's the Clinton's duty/right to serve as President?
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 10, 2016 -> 09:17 PM) Not to mention we never found out how Saladino would look playing SS everyday...so wasted those at-bats. God sucks being stuck with Anderson
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 10, 2016 -> 08:17 PM) Apparently they manually pulled it. You should trust Google News for these things Well played.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 10, 2016 -> 05:02 PM) LOL, one trended on FB today. After scanning the trends, don't see it.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 10, 2016 -> 04:03 PM) How much of your coverage do you devote to the bachelor and 9/11 conspiracies? Entertainment outlets devote a lot to the Bachelor. 9/11 conspiracies don't really trend. It's why people keep focusing on Hillary's emails or why Trump got all that air time. People want to hear about it and speak with ratings, clicks and shares.
  14. Media caters to what people want. In the age of advanced metrics, this the way it is. Trending is extremely indicative of what the public wants.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 9, 2016 -> 12:39 PM) It's a horrible way to protest. Some talk show last night discussed this and a couple military guys called in and are furious. They've had buddies die in war. Why would you imagine it doesn't offend military people when so much of their daily routine involves the flag? There's so much respect toward the anthem and flag. My opinion is Colin is a punk for doing this. That's my personal take and as far as sports it's about the most selfish thing he could do to a team, thrust all the attention on himself. Disgraceful. Honestly, like you care. Ezio mic dropped all over this thread. This is just so your talk radio stations can get all riled up instead of doing anything real to help veterans like condemn our atrocious VA system.
  16. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 9, 2016 -> 01:56 PM) It's an indictment of the media that they feel so enabled to attack "gaffes" but don't know how to attack lies or inane ideas Also an indictment of society for that being what started trending and not any real issues.
  17. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 9, 2016 -> 01:23 PM) WikiLeaks release excludes evidence of €2 billion transfer from Syria to Russia No agendas to be found. None at all.
  18. Jesus f***ing Christ, Greg.
  19. "Mr. Roosevelt, what do you think about what's happening in Warsaw?" The President needs to know what's going on all the time in the geo-political stage. Gary had a blunder, but let's not act like it's anything more than that. He clearly knows about the Syrian conflict. He just had a brain fart. I got a laugh out of it due to his "oh shiiiiiiit" face, but there's really nothing more to it. As for Jill Stein, she vandalized property. She's facing consequences. Also simple as that.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 8, 2016 -> 09:25 PM) She is so corrupt it is beyond belief. I mean it's not often a sure fire bet to win is as corrupt as Hillary. It is simply unbelievable she is going to be our President with her lies and her foundation and her past. Greg, read a book on US politics. It's easy to believe, even if she were as corrupt as you claim.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 7, 2016 -> 06:58 PM) I wonder what kind of person Jose is. Salt of the earth? Good guy? Lazy? A dick? I know nothing about him. He's obviously having one helluva year thanks to his second-half tear (when we were out of the race). He's an all star right now. I'm not blasting him, just curious if he's one of the top five hitters in the AL or what we've got here?? Soft spoken, extremely friendly. Courteous. A bit star struck sometimes. Strong handshake. Will attempt to speak what little English he knows for the sake of an interviewer.
  22. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 7, 2016 -> 08:52 PM) Their front office is superior in the scouting department unlike our front office. The Cubs model will not work for the Sox. They got it right on a couple of picks. The players they traded away are nowhere near the quality of a Sale or Q. The Russell trade is a form of luck. The only other organization that could make a boneheaded move like that is the Sox. Er, D-Backs?
  23. Both the Houston Chronicle and Dallas Morning News endorsed Hillary. When was the last time those two endorsed a democrat?
