  1. The best pairings would be Pau and Taj and Nikola and Noah, but sadly I doubt we'll see those.
  2. Alexei + Danks + Trayce for Joc and one of Ethier/Kemp seems fair to me.
  3. I'm with the consensus. Glad we stayed away. And lol at the Cubs.
  4. QUOTE (LDF @ Nov 15, 2014 -> 11:30 AM) correct me if i am wrong, but isn't there not trading of draft picks, only comp picks. Correct. Comp picks can be traded, the rest can't.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 14, 2014 -> 09:36 PM) Although they would have traded up if cooper was calling all the shots on pitchers. So something that is literally not possible?
  6. I think they should just get Derrick to wear the old Kobe Crazy 8s. Those have great ankle support.
  7. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 14, 2014 -> 11:36 AM) On a sidenote, I really don't get people complaining about the Dodgers OF'ers wanting to play and being unhappy about sitting. They didn't sign 100M deals to sit on benches and not play everyday. They were put in this position by Dodgers management who brought in too many guys for an area (part of that was due to need because of various injuries, etc) but the reality is those guys are starters in the league and are paid to do so. It is perfectly fair for them to want to do it. Ethier played the good guy role back in 2012 and then asked to be traded last off-season. Dodgers didnt' do so and he was very very unhappy and it is no surprise his performance dropped. I agree with this 100% The Dodgers would have to take Danks and kick in cash, or just kick in a lot of cash, for me to take Ethier. That being said, I'd still do it.
  8. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Nov 13, 2014 -> 02:03 AM) I would take just Syndergaard straight up for Alexei. He was the #11 ranked prospect in all of baseball according to BP last season. That's a ranking better than Rodon will likely get coming in to 2015, and I don't know how many of you would trade 6 years of Rodon for 2 years of Alexei, and then talk about adding ANOTHER prospect on top of Rodon, and I'm not sure a single poster here would take that. Now the Mets do have more young pitchers than the Sox, so they could afford to lose Syndergaard and still have nice young arms, but I think to expect Syndergaard PLUS another guy is highly unlikely. I'd take him straight up to. Just wondering out loud.
  9. If the Sox could get Syndergaard and another prospect for Alexei, that'd be something I'd pull the trigger on. Add Syndergaard to the group of Rodon, Montas, Danish, Adams and Beck and the Sox would have some nice young arms they could hopefully flip for young bats after some development, such as Santiago for Eaton.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 11, 2014 -> 10:07 AM) Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 3h3 hours ago #WhiteSox have pursued catchers such as #Astros’ Castro, #Padres’ Grandal in past, but more focused now on RH starter, bullpen help, LH bat. I feel like Grandal may be the person that Hahn was referring to when he talked about trying to acquire someone he had his eye on for a while at the deadline.
  11. Can all the "Rose isn't a PG" talk finally die down? He had some beautiful passes last night.

  13. QUOTE (StRoostifer @ Nov 7, 2014 -> 11:56 PM) Im not so sure a 33 year old Alexei with two years of control is worth a 24 year old Wheeler with 5 years of control. Alexei is passing his prime while Wheeler has his ahead of him still. I think Alexei is a bit over valued as fans sometimes do. Remember how plenty of people were disappointed with the return on players like Rios, Santiago, Peavy etc? Wait until you guys see the return for Alexei if he is traded. Santiago netted us Eaton...
  14. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 9, 2014 -> 07:46 PM) Is this going to be discussed every off-season? We aren't trading Sale. This. The price is beyond astronomical.
  15. If they took back Danks and/or ate significant money, I'd be down with one of their OF.
  16. For real, LeBron and his fellow vets need to take the young players aside and tell them to stop their bulls***,
  17. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 6, 2014 -> 08:13 AM) Kyrie. Kobe. Kobe. Kyrie. At least Kobe earned his right to be a toolbag with 5 rings and monster games that Kyrie can't even sniff at the moment.
  18. The Cavs defense is atrocious and everyone from Kyrie to LeBron to Love to Dion to freaking Tristan Thompson is just doing hero ball.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 5, 2014 -> 03:28 PM) It's sort of true. Aside from Abreu, Sale and Q who on the Sox is desirable? Out of the everyday players, maybe Lexi. Sox fans like Lexi, A. Garcia and Eaton, but are they really guys teams want? They can definitely do without those guys. Abreu, Sale, Q, Lexi, Avi, Eaton, Conor, Micah, Semien, Sanchez, Bassitt, Rodon, Adams, Montas, Anderson, Hawkins, Danish, Beck etc. The sox have a lot of desirable pieces. It's just that nothing more than something like Hawkins and Beck would net Jason Castro.
  20. 1) A sprained ankle can be an absolute b****. I sprained mine three weeks ago, tried playing through it and it only made it worse. 2) Derrick played with two stomach ulcers and a monstrous amount of tiny injuries in 2011 and 2012...which led to his tearing of his ACL. I will never question his pain tolerance. 3) I'd rather they be cautious him this early in the season for garbage opponents.
  21. Thibs' system was designed around Rose, so microwave scoring PGs seem to flourish.
  22. I'm predicting the Washington D.C. pissing contest is only going to be worse now.
