  1. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 08:10 AM) Dunn has a baseball camp, entertainment business and a ranch in Texas. I'd say there is little chance, at least short term, he'd want to come back. Also, what does Dunn have to do with Scott Carroll? What story are you referring to? After Carroll's debut he asked Dunn for recommendations on restaurants that could accommodate 35 family members. Dunn made some calls and told Carroll he got him a reservation - along with paying the full tab. Dunn always was pure class, kinda like Thome. I'd welcome him back to the org.
  2. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jan 13, 2015 -> 02:51 PM) Matt Garrioch at John Sickels' site just posted his early 2015 draft rankings. Follow the link for the full list (top 300). http://www.minorleagueball.com/2015/1/12/7...-draft-rankings He's much lower on both Matuella (#28) and Bickford (#43) than the experts. He gave the following explanations for this: I'm OK with that because I'd love to get Matuella
  3. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 13, 2015 -> 09:22 AM) Worse than Noah being bothered by his knee still, I think it's starting to get into his head. You could tell he was trying to break out of it last night mentally, but it just wasn't working.
  4. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 13, 2015 -> 07:38 AM) I haven't had the chance to watch many games, but I see the box scores. Where has Noah gone so far this season? His numbers are really down. His knee is bugging + playing out of position next to Gasol. He's missing put backs he usually made, not able to grab boards. He needs to come off the bench with Niko.
  5. QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 12, 2015 -> 12:31 PM) i don't know, i would like to know more about his other pitches. it would be nice to get a randy johnson type of a pitcher Yeah, Sale is the closest you'll get.
  6. QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 12, 2015 -> 01:24 PM) i don't know about his slider, i will give way to others opinion on that. they prob know more than i. however i still think he needs more seasoning and more work. he can't depend on that slider alone. I know it's always brought up, but watch highlights of Rodon vs. Cuba a few years ago. His stuff was the best it's ever looked in that game and analysts said he could have mowed down an MLB lineup that night. His slider was straight filthy.
  7. The Sox have three Top 15 pitchers if you go by fWAR. Rodon is the wild card, because Danks and Noesi won't carry it. I also can see Montas knock on the door by the end of the year.
  8. Let's just get one of the Yoans!
  9. QUOTE (Tex @ Jan 11, 2015 -> 09:34 AM) f*** all of you guys, go back to where you came from. A lesson in green = sarcasm I had intended on posting this exact post, except "I hate all of you" instead of "f*** all of you guys" I hate you Tex
  10. I believe Nieto will start the season as starting catcher in AA.
  11. I went tonight and took away two things. 1) Pau Gasol's skill + height will allow him to age very, very well. 2) Snell wasn't scared. He went 1-7 but with little hesitation and his D was pretty good.
  12. I don't know if Fences would apply, but it's a great play.
  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 10, 2015 -> 11:50 AM) Matt Eddy ‏@MattEddyBA #WhiteSox sign RH power hitters 3B Andy LaRoche and 1B Chris Jacobs to minors deals, re-sign OF Michael Taylor http://bit.ly/1I8uhBI Let us all rejoice at the return of Lord Taylor! But actually, you'd have to imagine he's in contention for 4th OF.
  14. Marshall's advocation for mental health is commendable. I laughed when he was fined by the NFL for wearing neon green socks in honor of mental health awareness.
  15. Please start Taj and bring Niko-Noah off the bench together. Pau and Jo don't mesh while Niko and Noah could be an amazing duo.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 9, 2015 -> 05:21 PM) http://bit.ly/1BWOG9n Anonymous getting in on the action now It'll be interesting watching ISIS and Al-Qaeda end up being crippled by not the CIA, FBI, SIS, etc...but by Anonymous.

I will get Wite to eat a shoe if the Cubs win the WS.
  19. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jan 9, 2015 -> 12:57 AM) You guys are crazy if you wouldn't play for the cubs. I know we all hate them, but you'd still be living in Chicago surrounded by family and friends who can attend whenever they want even if it's on the wrong side of town. Unless you're from out of town. That would make sense. If I was a player and drafted by the Cubs, I'd bolt as soon as possible.
  20. Play for: 1) White Sox 2) Dodgers 3) Giants Never play for: 1) Cubs 2) Yankees 3) Detroit
  21. Didn't see this coming.
  22. Sometimes I will address my parents as "kids"
  23. It helps the Cavs, but not much. It's fun watching that trainwreck. So many of their issues would be solved if Love and Irving just played defense.
