QUOTE (kev211 @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 09:49 PM) I'll never rip on the bulls front office again. Ever, the majority of this team was drafted by them. You cant blame them for free agents spurning them. But everyone should complain about Tony Snell and Marquis Teague. Those are more indicative of their drafting ability than Butler, Gibson, Mirotic, Noah and Rose.

Ben Zobrist
Something like Micah, Hawkins and Beck is likely what the Sox highest offer would be. My highest offer would be Micah, Beck, Webb and Trayce. It's just something where it doesn't make sense for the Sox to unload any of Rodon, Anderson, Montas, Danish or Adams.

QUOTE (Douglas Rome @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 07:06 AM) who's the better manager, Ozzie or Robin? thanks, douglas Ozzie from '04-'06 easily trumps Robin's first 3 years. Ozzie after that was not good, aside from 2008.

2014-2015 NBA thread
QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 07:21 AM) need some help in understanding some rule in the nba. i thought when a player gets assigned / cut and plays in the "D" league, he becomes a FA. so when Noah Vonleh, 9 pick last yr 1rd, went to the D league, is he a FA? totally unrelated, the signing of the vet for vet extension contracts, should the Bull continue to extend Rose contract further? i know the Bulls should offer Joakim Noah. It's kind of like the minor leagues in a way. If a player is sent down from an NBA franchise, their current contract is still in place. It's just that the D-League is way less important than the MiLB, so most of their rosters are filled with free agents and maybe one or two draft picks at best.

QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 07:27 AM) or when his kids were sounding off about the franchise and KW all while their dad was still employed. Good times. Or when they leaked clubhouse issues.

Should #13 be put back in circulation?
It's going to be retired with #14. They left two spots on the wall of retired numbers.

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 29, 2014 -> 10:05 AM) I'm home today and a bit bored, and am watching Kap and Haugh. Desperate times. I'll say Haugh ain't bad. I'd go after Chase Daniel. Mainly because Mizzou. What could go wrong? Oh, Gabbert. I want Shane Ray in the draft and to sign Sam.

Should The Sox Buy the Old Post Office For A New Stadium?
QUOTE (jamesdiego @ Dec 29, 2014 -> 12:17 AM) All they have to do is go back to the original renovations plans and put a home run porch out in right field. It would fill out the stadium more so it doesn't feel so small inside. It was a great idea and they could always go back to it. If they do it, they wouldn't have to worry about building a new stadium for the next 50 yrs. Boooyyaah Sadly this won't happen with the out of town scoreboard now in place.

speaking of Hahn
QUOTE (Douglas Rome @ Dec 27, 2014 -> 05:54 AM) you guys prolly don't spank your kids either. Most of these modern players are big spoiled crybabies and so rich they could care less. If I was manager, no facial hair, no jewelry, butch crew hair cut and if they don't like it they don't play. thanks, douglas Well, you would be fired ten games into the season after your team went 0-10.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 24, 2014 -> 07:55 PM) Howard-Ariza-Smith should be devastating defensively. The west continues to get more and more ridiculous. Smith has been bad all around this year- Evan Longoria
QUOTE (hi8is @ Dec 25, 2014 -> 09:22 AM) Give me Zobrist or give me death! He played college ball at ON nearby- don't stop now boys
QUOTE (Douglas Rome @ Dec 25, 2014 -> 05:30 AM) we need a second baseman, and a third baseman, and a catcher? Why the heck did we let AJ go? thanks, douglas Because AJ is old and bad We have some top 2B prospects Conor ain't bad.- 2014-2015 NBA thread

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Dec 23, 2014 -> 12:19 AM) Also forgot to point out Gasol got the Boozer treatment in the 4th quarter tonight, don't think he was hurt. Thibs was going to put him back in, but didn't want to stop what was working.- Jeong-Ho Kang

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 09:31 AM) If you'd rather have a 2nd and 3rd round pick over David Robertson and Melky Cabrera, then I believe you are very wrong. I mean, look at this: http://www.baseball-reference.com/draft/?q...ype=junreg& Are you really going to tell me that having Melky Cabrera, a very good baseball player signed to a very fair contract, is a worse investment choice than bringing in a player of that caliber? Most successful with the White Sox: Brent Morel and Addison Reed. J.J. Putz as well, but he didn't sign with them.- Evan Longoria
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Dec 21, 2014 -> 05:17 PM) Or we'll throw in Bryant and Russell....you know, those prospects have zero value until they are proven veterans. Maybe we should have just given anderson for a 1/2 a year of Shark. He hasn't proven anything, while Phegley and Semien are proven solid backups. Sorry, meant to point out that this conversation took place before 2014.- Evan Longoria
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Dec 21, 2014 -> 03:52 PM) That would totally incorrect. Minor league rankings are a major factor in setting the trade value of a prospect. "Hey [insert team scouts name here]. What do you think of Baez? Accept a Quintana for Baez swap? Maybe if they throw in Olt?" "Don't do it Rick. He either hits it really far, or strikes out. He does the latter more." "But...his prospect ranking."- Jeong-Ho Kang
