Reminds me of a hard thrower just up from the minors and hopefully realizes the big boys will get around on your fastball.

I'm a fair weather fan. The way they are playing now I often don't watch. I try to watch the minors or a NL team. The NL West is fin to watch when the top 3 face each other. One of them will lose a series against each other.

This is what make baseball so great.

Curious as to how these players are getting it. Maybe due to social life after games?

I guess that also depends on a farm system.

I wonder how GMs evaluate him not ever playing a full season,

If they have an era over 5 that will beat the Sox lineup.

Their farm systems are in better shape. All of our guys are up.

We shall see how he adjusts to AL pitching.

At least he is familiar with AL pitching. Of course the way things are going most of the lineup isn't familiar with any ptiching.

He also doesn't have to adjust hitting in different league.

Eloy's HR is not as shocking as his defense tonight.

Pretty hard to do both. The lineup looks lifeless. I say bat him 9th as well.

The problem is this organization is good at developing guys that can only ply DH/1B. Depth is hard to obtain. Any decent player would go to a team to start.

Of course not. The farm system is somewhat barren. You'd hope someone would be interested in Lopez or Stiever. All of the so called farm studs are either playing or on IL.

What makes you think this team is capable of going deep into the playoffs? The starting pitching is there. You can only hope the offense is firing on all cylinders. The bullpen is a dart board with consistency. A veteran arm is needed there. We also assume everyone will be healthy. Too many IFs for this season.
