  1. QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 20, 2011 -> 02:01 PM) De Aza may very well be a 4th outfielder, but if there was ever a year to give him 650 PAs to find out, this one coming up may be it. how many more PA does Beckham get before we can say he is what he is?
  2. it's hilarious how wrong the Chicago media predicted how the bears season would play out after losing cutler and forte, I knew they would win at most 1 game, I couldn't believe some of the s*** I heard, going 4-2? are they f***ing kidding me?
  3. Konerko projected to have a down year according to those guys
  4. safe to say with this offense the bears will be fortunate to finish the year at .500
  5. LOL Matt Kemp. the real NL MVP baby
  6. QUOTE (Cali @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 04:07 PM) NOW it's Go Time for Kenny nope, Reinsdorf is too big of a f***ing idiot for it to happen. Kenny's probably thinking to himself "LOL, I can't believe I still have a job. Hahahahahahah!"
  7. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 03:53 PM) With Mark gone, seriously, burn the motherf***er down. Leave a trail of gas to Kenny's Office before you light it
  8. @Buster_ESPN Source: Hanley Ramirez's rep asked the Marlins for a restructured deal. MIA upset with this, will now be looking to trade Hanley (more). @_@ @Buster_ESPN Marlins upset with Hanley, because given his subpar year in '11, they were greatly surprised he wants more money to change positions.
  9. I have a weird feeling that Detroit is going to sign Buehrle
  10. in that video i posted on the last page, AA said he wasn't even open to dealing Molina originally. He followed up with that Kenny wasn't open to discussing Sergio either, took over a month for them to agree that the deal would be good for both teams
  11. AA interview with MLB.com, with some Sergio Highlights http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?c_id=mlb...opic_id=8877962 Wish him well in TOR, he was one of my favorite Sox players
  12. Not gonna bother going through all 26 pages, but I wanna ask, do people really think we're gonna get anything of value for TCQ? Dude is injured just about every year, and even this year he ended the season with a (albeit minor) shoulder injury. We'll be lucky to get a fringe prospect for him
  13. If we're rebuilding (and as such, won't be in contention for the next 2-3 years), then you can't judge this trade in terms of the talent we received, because the kid is just a prospect and we aren't able to predict the future. He's a top prospect though You can judge this trade based on if you think we could've gotten more in return for Santos, that's really the only argue point. Jays fans on MLBTR are echoing the exact same sentiments as Sox fans are, over half of the posts from both sides of the fence are saying "Both teams win in this trade" I kind of agree
  14. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 03:20 PM) Wow. Guys, they'd roster him if we was worth it. He's never shown evidence that he can hit at anything close to an acceptable rate. We can find someone to play solid defense and hit like a pitcher if we need. Let's not let this stress us out. to be fair, before his injury (wrist i think?), he was pretty damn good offensively. the strikeouts were still there, but he had power to go with it, to summarize: he looked at least major league ready, whereas now, he's nowhere close offensively with that said, i agree, this isn't a huge deal. it's odd, as I thought the Sox were trying to keep John and Jordan together, even if they were traded. as it stands now, if Jordan gets picked up in the Rule 5, the only way John joins him is if we seek that team out and trade him to Jordan's new team, or if John signs w/ that team next year in FA
  15. What is Sergio's value in a trade? Pros: contract, team will control him cheaply for numerous years, dominant closer. Cons: He's just a reliever when it's all said and done. Though call me crazy or whatever, I'd rather have Sergio closing for my team than Papelbon So what's his value (What could the Sox get back, best case scenario)? Top 25 prospect? Nothing close to that? Better than that? I'd 'entertain' offers until the winter meetings, let every team know he's available and try to get teams into a bidding war
  16. Edwin Jackson + Daniel Hudson = Zach Stewart that's all you need to know
  17. I'm already wishing it was close to opening day. Not a huge NFL fan (i'm probably the only guy here that isn't right?), and no Bulls, and I haven't been able to watch hardly any Hawks games which sucks because they're f***ing awesome so far this year (sans a few games, FU Calgary..)
  18. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Nov 19, 2011 -> 02:50 PM) If both are gone, we are in trouble. Floyd would be the only guy on our roster that would expect to pitch around 200 innings. Still have to stretch out guys like Sale and Humber. If both are gone we're in trouble? We were in trouble when they decided not to interview anybody except Robin Ventura for the manager position.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 19, 2011 -> 02:03 PM) Cmon. Anybody with eyes could see Thornton was not the Matt of old last year and not because Pierre stunk a couple games in April. Matt's been a different guy since his elbow soreness or whatever it was, in 2010 before the ASG...
