Late innings is not the time for a reliever with a career WHIP around 1.4
-
That's why people don't like Petrichka - Only has 1 pitch and he lets way too many people get on base
-
f*** the last 2 guys I wanted to see in the 'pen are up. Plz get to Jones/Robertson
-
I think Lawrie would have had that...
-
Not a great debut for Frazier
-
I don't like the "pitch to contact and go deeper" philosophy with Sale. Why take a guy with wipeout stuff and ask him to put it where people can hit it, who cares if he goes 6-7 innings instead of 8.
-
30+ pitch inning for Sale? Let's go 3 and out
-
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 08:22 PM) Melky's grounder was hit with 2 outs Thought it was 1 out but that would make sense
-
Another question, why all Sale's runs earned but no RBI's for Melky on what would have been an rbi groundout?
-
I know it's the 1st start for him, but Sale seems to do way better when he mixes his fastball from 91-93 and then pop 95-97 later.. he just seems to be chucking the ball as hard as he can right now
-
No slider Chris Sale just isn't that good
-
inb4 "Avi throws him out"
-
Sale trying to give some back
-
Nice to have a team actually give one to us.. this early in the season too
-
I feel like a couple more sliders makes that a 10 pitch inning

Crain's: White Sox sign with Coke after 15-year run with Pepsi
Knackattack replied to shysocks's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Coke is definitely the superior soda. And, guys, it's soda, not pop. -
article on Danks tipping pitches and mechanics.
Knackattack replied to Whisox05's topic in Pale Hose Talk
FA starting pitching doesn't look good next year. Some one will overpay Danks just for the innings he will put up and if he hovers around an ERA of 4 he will probably get 3-5 years. -
Fulmer "putting himself on the radar"
Knackattack replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 01:05 PM) Rodon took a couple of months to figure things out when he got here last year. It wasn't like he showed up ready to go. Despite what Cooper said about Fulmer, I don't think he has anywhere near the pure stuff to carry him through the period of time it would take him to figure out things, that Rodon does. Rodon's stuff isn't that much better than Fulmer's IMO. Seems Carson sits at a higher velocity with the fastball and that curveball is nasty -
QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 12:12 PM) Have to wonder whether Eaton in RF was due to Avi's injury, or whether that's where he's going to play with Jackson around. He played LF Saturday. I imagine that with LaRoche gone they'll do everything in their power to torture us with Avi in RF

Chris Sale keeps f***ing with KW and we are gonna have the #1 ranked farm system in baseball come July...

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 09:56 AM) Also doesn't do errands, clean up and help out. It is strange the team reaction is so strong when this LaRoche kid was nothing but a pain in the ass. Why didn't you tell us what a nuisance Drake LaRoche was last season? I think the issue is less about the kid and more about the fact that other members of the team didn't want him there. Unless it was Avi who complained, anyone else on the team was more useful than LaRoche last year and if he is bringing a distraction to the clubhouse on top of not performing, then something needs to change. Saying you can bring your kid every now and again but not every day is completely fair. I run a kitchen and if one of my guys brought his kid back there so he could see how we cook they'd both be going home right away. What happens when Drake hurts himself shagging a fly ball and LaRoche thinks the Sox should pay for it? It's not good business.

QUOTE (Baron @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 09:50 AM) I remember people yesterday asking if John Danks had a kid they could ban so he would retire Sad yet funny Danks is the suck nowadays, but I've always like him. LaRoche always had this stuck up, holier than thou demeanor and now I can totally see it. I saw him watch 3 strikes down the middle of the plate once last year and just walk away from the batters box, that was the day I canceled my mlb.tv I'm very happy this guy is gone. 13M that can be spent on some one useful who actually has a good attitude towards the game.

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 09:44 AM) Zach Duke @zach_duke 11h11 hours ago Watching @crowdermusic on @AXSTV. My soul needs this right now. #faithandfamilyfirst Man how nice would it be if he called it quits too

13 million dollars and your job or stop pissing off your co-workers by bringing your kid to the job every day... easy decision IMO

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 14, 2016 -> 07:42 AM) I'm not referring to tweets Just referring to the line I'm guessing? All they need to worry about him all spring is velocity and getting his mechanics right. If Mat is throwing 95 and repeating his mechanics he is going to be a steal.
