  1. Well s*** looks like we'll get stuck with Kendell
  2. Really hoping Hasely/Smith falls to us, no one else really seems safe.
  3. Out managed super hard from when they choose to steal to defensive positioning wow
  4. Is there a verdict out on Engel yet? Is he just going to be a nice defending 4th OF or does he look like he will hit enough to start?
  5. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 28, 2017 -> 10:15 AM) Sox are gonna shell him. They have good scouting reports on him at least
  6. Maybe we will finally get some players that have learned how to advance runners and hit sac flys when it actually matters
  7. .273/.331/.389, 25 steals with slightly above average defense
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 5, 2017 -> 01:06 PM) Q traded during half time of the super bowl. Book it. It'd be fitting for Q to be traded at the one time no one would notice
  9. After seeing the slew of prospects traded at the 2016 deadline for relief pitching, wanting to sell low on Robertson (in a non contending year) is a little silly, especially if the reasoning is based upon his salary. We aren't signing any free agents and none of us are paying him... let the guy pitch and see if he can still be a solid closer.
  10. I moved to Southside Chicago in 8th grade and my dad happened to get 2006 opening day tickets
  11. Possibility Sox are targeting all these arms with the intention of moving them/Rodon for younger position players in the future?
  12. Sale is an extraordinary talent, but also a spoiled douche. Hopefully the return we get is enough to offset the loss of his talents and skills but the person himself is not some one to mourn losing from the team.
  13. Cards fans on mlbtr already saying cards would be dumb to move Kelly for Eaton... jesus
  14. Not that it merits much but mlbtr mentions that we could be interested in Carson Kelly from the Cards in a Eaton trade (I don't know much about their farm but he a catcher that slashed .292/.352/.381 in AAA, their 11th ranked prospect). Obviously more would be needed but he could be a decent 3rd piece
  15. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 3, 2016 -> 08:50 AM) Gotta disagree here. Lawrie is likely a 1 to 2 WAR player at this point. I'm ok with bringing him back as a depth piece at the price he agreed too, but my expectations are pretty low that he'll be worth anything of signicance by the deadline. I said IF he is hitting lol. I don't expect much either but if he is healthy and puts together a good 1st half, he will net us something useful
  16. If Lawrie stays healthy and is hitting by the ASB his second half salary is going to make him a pretty big commodity at the deadline
  17. Wonder if the nats go hard and try to get Sale and Eaton, Turner, Giolito, Robles +++
  18. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 08:20 PM) Did they? If Segura stays good and Walker/Marte don't develop then... no
  19. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 18, 2016 -> 08:30 PM) A lot of this was also Jerry being cheap. Example- we didn't pony up for Cespedes, we signed scrap heap guys like Jackson, Latos, and Rollins, and well, yeah. Do you think Cespedes on our team would have made it a winner or would we be out 125m+ for the next 5 years
  20. Honestly it hasn't even been Jerry being cheap, we have a decent payroll and look what happened with Heyward and gordon. The issue is that the players we have signed and traded for have commonly underachieved and we can't develop anything but pitchers in our minor leagues.
  21. I just want to see a team that won't let it's pitchers down season after season
  22. Can't do this without Swanson. He is the best young player there, doesn't matter if him or Tim has to move to 2b
  23. There is no starting pitching on the FA market and plenty of teams think they are a piece away right now. This is the time to do it, we should land 8-10 high upside players from both trades
  24. You won't get Urias and DeLeon, and you have to get Urias. I see Sale and Frazier for Urias, Bellinger, Barnes, Lux and Verdugo, which is a huge haul.
