Priest killed
There is at least 1-2 news stories a year in Indiana where homeowners have shot armed intruders. A case in South Bend made headlines a few years ago because it was the first usage of a new law that allowed three of the intruders to be charged with the murder of the fourth intruder who was shot and killed by the homeowner.

2014 FIFA World Cup
In 6th-7th grade, we extensively studied Central/South American and European Geography, but never did Asian or African. I've learned a fair amount of it on my own, mostly through following current events, the Olympics and soccer, but I'm still pretty weak in African geography. I would have guessed Liberia and gotten that one right, but I think I also would have guessed Togo and Benin, which at least are close. The thing I know most about Africa is that Toto blessed the rains down there.

I bet the IRS has never, ever lost data showing how much taxpayers owe them, but they somehow lose these emails.

You can still sign guys that are committed to a college. It's just harder to do because they have a backup plan.- 2014 FIFA World Cup
Inside the box, it doesn't matter if it's inadvertent, it's still a PK.- 2014 FIFA World Cup
Refs evened it out by missing a handball in the box.- Golfing Thread

OK, not nearly as bad as the awarded penalty from yesterday, but a Cameroon guy just tripped over his own leg and the referee called a foul on Mexico.- 2014 FIFA World Cup
Mexico's World Cup begins today. Unfortunately for them, they don't have Graham Zusi available to bail them out again.- 2014 FIFA World Cup
1) Penalty call was the absolute worst. Referee should be immediately sent home from the rest of the tournament. I don't know if FIFA can suspend a player for flopping, but if so, that deserves it 2) Don't think Neymar's foul warranted a red card. Yellow, yes, but not red 3) Foul called on Croatia against the GK was fine. Keeper was going straight up and Croatia's player went into him. Keeper gets the benefit of the doubt in most cases anyway.- 2014 FIFA World Cup
Neymar equalizes. 1-1.- 2014 FIFA World Cup
So Brazil has put the first goal in the net of the World Cup. Only problem is they put it into their own goal. 1-0 CRO- Priest killed

Why play that game? Give him your best offer today and tell him the offer goes down $10K every day through July 18.- 2014 White Sox draft pick thread
Yes, provided that they offered him at least 90% of slot, which is a pretty safe bet.- Jose Abreu general discussion
