  1. We've had the discussion before about it not being rape, so you either have a terrible memory or you're just being a jackass. Of course her family wanted something done, but you go around suspending/expelling everybody who's accused of everything when charges aren't even filed and that's setting a dangerous precedent, and since I don't see you applying that standard to the rest of the world, then yes, that makes you a f***ing hater.
  2. Not just one play call in 2010. Try reading comprehension. It helps.
  3. The story was not swept under the rug. The county prosecutor announced that he wasn't filing charges. What else is anybody supposed to say? Is Brian Kelly supposed to hold a press conference and announce that the player was lucky that the woman killed herself and thus open the kid up to civil lawsuits just to pacify a bunch of f***ing lunatic ND haters?
  4. He let the legal process play itself out and then chose not to suspend the player due to no charges being filed. That's not defending a coach for doing nothing--it's defending a coach for doing what he's supposed to do.
  5. There's no truth to any of the f***ing bulls*** you've been posting. You're desperate to paint a scarlet letter on ND when one isn't there.
  6. Yeah, the tweet said "prominent" D-I athlete. College baseball players are very rarely household names and would not qualify as "prominent" so I took that to mean a D-I football or basketball player who also played baseball in HS.
  7. Whether or not Kelly knew anything isn't the issue. The prosecutor's office investigated and decided not to bring charges. How else is the coach supposed to be involved? In Paterno's case it was clear that he knew about criminal activity and didn't report it. In Tressel's case he knew NCAA violations had been committed and not reported? This situation at ND does not fit either of those criteria. Why don't you just give your hatred for ND a f***ing rest OK?
  8. Fans won't go to games before the team clinches because they haven't won anything yet. Fans won't go to games after the team clinches because those games are meaningless. The biggest failure of the Sox is that they are unable to get their magic number down to 2 very early and then lose a long string of potential clinchers that fans will flock to, before finally clinching at the end of the season.
  9. The county prosecutor has a long history of not getting along with the University. There is no way they cover up anything for the football team. Hell, they go out looking to catch football players drinking underage!
  10. No, it's not in the same category. Coaches don't have anything to do with criminal investigations. Coaches have a lot to do with sending kids up on scissor lifts in unsafe situations.
  11. I'm sure lots of people were glad about the Duke lacrosse players getting expelled too.
  12. That's 0% on Brian Kelly. Flaws in the ND police procedures? Maybe. No charges filed though, so it would be a terrible precedent for a coach to suspend/boot a player when no charges are filed and the school took no administrative action.
  13. All I can figure is that everywhere else he has been, he was able to get superior talent to the point that it didn't matter what plays he called, they were going to work. Now he's up with the big boys and every little flaw gets exposed.
  14. His boss was at practice that day, so I don't know that it's 100% on him, but yes, there was definitely some bad decision-making going on that day.
  15. I realize that winning was a long shot, but you still need to call a good play for the situation, and BK has failed to do that many times. I just think he's reached his ceiling at ND and if they want to be able to beat SEC teams in bowl/playoff games, it's going to take somebody else.
  16. I have plenty of clue what I am talking about. Brian Kelly's playcalling is absolutely atrocious. He got to 12-0 this year with a great defense and a little bit of luck, but he consistently calls plays that are absolutely mind-blowing. A couple specific examples: 2010 home vs Tulsa, less than a minute on the clock and down by one point to Tulsa, ball inside the 10 yard line and a kicker who hasn't missed a kick all season. With the backup QB in the game, BK calls a fade route to the end zone that is horribly underthrown and intercepted. There is absolutely zero excuse for not calling running plays to drain the clock down and kick the winning field goal. 2013 BCS vs Alabama, down 21-0 in the second quarter and going for it on 4th and 4 just inside Alabama territory. BK calls a pass play that sends three of the four receivers on deep routes. Pass is incomplete and game is essentially over. Who the f*** sends everybody deep on 4th and 4?? More generally, the offense stalled out inside the 10 yard line way too many times this season, and a lot of it was due to poor play calling in the red zone. I won't deny that BK's recruiting and other changes he's made within the program have done wonders for Notre Dame in three years, but it's time to move on because he is incapable of getting ND to the next level. Of course they can't fire him after a 12-1 season, but they can sure call his bluff when he threatens to go to the Eagles as a ploy to get more money out of ND.
  17. Rated football recruits from Steubenville per rivals.com: Najee Murray was a 2012 4-star DB who went to Ohio State Shaquille Petteway was a 2011 3-star LB who went to West Virginia
  18. Except why would you ever voluntarily put Viciedo in the outfield and deAza, Rios, or Thompson/Mitchell at DH?
  19. This is what you get when you create a huge thread about Rick Hahn not doing anything.
  20. Someone who has a much better clue on how to game-plan and call plays.
  21. Probably not a celebrity, but Mirko Jurkovic, brother of AM 1000's John and member of ND's last championship team, died at 42 of colon cancer.
  22. I'm a big fan of it, especially if it leads to ND getting Charlie Strong.
  23. Brian Kelly is talking to the Eagles. I'll help him look for a house in Philly if he wants.
  24. Can I picture a woman with 34D boobs? I'd like that better than picturing Floyd or Payton.
  25. He will get in on the first ballot but he won't quite get the vote totals of Glavine and Maddux because he spent so much time as a DH.
