  1. Good job Flowers. Been useless this series.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2013 -> 08:03 PM) They showed Parent sending calls in to Flowers last inning Interesting...not liking that at all
  3. Great Donnie Veal will come in and walk Span.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 10, 2013 -> 07:56 PM) The pitch selection is insane i think its Flowers
  5. Its like clockwork....why did we give this guy his option?
  6. Really hoping Danks gets his velocity back.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 10, 2013 -> 07:32 PM) You get him from the stretch and against a lefty, and it's a recipe for trouble. Indeed
  8. Flowers went from an asset to a complete liability in the lineup
  9. Conor has looked pretty good so far this year
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 10, 2013 -> 07:30 PM) We watched it with Javy for 3 years, same with Floyd from 2009-2013. Nothing new or particularly shocking at this point. Never said it was new or shocking. But its still frustrating.
  11. I dont get Gavin...looks good for a while. Makes 1 mistake and then proceeds to crap his pants from that point on. Its been incredibly frustrating to watch since he's pitched here.
  12. Ahh the Gavin Floyd melt down....right on time
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2013 -> 04:15 PM) Defensively it probably is. Thing is we needed more than a couple strike outs from him yesterday.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 09:31 PM) This team is in HUGE trouble if Viciedo, Flowers and Beckham all founder. That's not news. The only way for us to win is with dominant starting pitching and a better save conversion ratio than 2012. Everything went right last year and we still ended up short in the end. I don't think one game against the Nationals in April will tell the whole story....obviously....but they've really got to start playing much better defense, strike early in the game with RISP and get someone to step up in the bullpen. So far, it has been Addison Reed. Giving up those 7th and 8th runs really stung the comeback effort. And the real John Danks has to show up this season, at some point. I guess someone had to start the talk about blowing it up 7 games into the season while being tied for lead in the division.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 09:25 PM) He automatically becomes our best trade bait if this team does an April/May 2010 and 2011 disappearing act. Hopefully it won't come down to that and they start playing better. The bloom is already off the Donnie Veal rose. That was doomed to be another version of Politte/Cotts in 2005. Oh for christ sake
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 09:22 PM) After all the struggles vs Gio, the offense really turned it around only to see the pitching blow up. Sox just need to find a way to keep getting people on for Rios. Thing is....it was the usual suspects that didnt pitch well in the bullpen.
