  1. He was pretty good with the Padres in 2024.
  2. We're discussing the possibility. Is that a problem? There's so many innings before you even get to the possibiity of either one of these pitchers getting called up. Anybody that has a chance has spring training and the first 3/4 of the season. If you can't show off in that time period I don't know what to tell you.
  3. I don't think there's a rush. But let's be real these two are going to push the issue. Their stuff is good enough to punish minor league bats. Timetables change and I don't think late 2026 is realistic for those two in their minds.
  4. This may shock you. But figuring out who needs to be traded at the deadline will be done at the first half the season. There's alot of innings between now and if these two get called up for some work. I would argue giving either of them starts or bullpen time is better than giving marginal pitchers who may or may not have earned anything late in the 2025 season work.
  5. and I'm sure those decisions late in 2025 are really going to be affected by giving the actual future of this team some work in the big leagues. After all those innings we won't know who's going to be here in 2026.
  6. I was going to say there may be other issues with calling them up this year for bullpen use. But having roster spots available shouldn't be one. That's silly.
  7. It was reported he was going to sign last year with us right?
  8. That -10 DRS last year was super helpful. -1.5 WAR on defense. -15.2 WAR on offense though. So some room for improvement.
  9. He isn't good at framing, defense or hitting. So I guess our definitions of good are different.
  10. Are we talking about the same player?
  11. It's just going to be me counting the days until his replaced.
  12. Seeing Lee starting at catcher again makes me feel a little nauseous.
  13. They are talking about trading for Cease again
  14. If you need some entertainment this morning there's some copium going on at their forum.
  15. I'm sure I'll end up catching a game in Boston or Cleveland this year. I'd like to see one in Chicago but I can imagine the tickets will be cheap come gameday. Hopefully by the time most of us go we have some more exciting pitchers and position players called up. That's really the only saving grace.
  16. Met with in LA no. Sent in a presentation? Yes.
  17. I was just in Boston back in September. Ended up seeing a White Sox Red Sox game and it was a blast. People were cool too.
  18. Just for fun to crap on them. But that starting rotation is not looking too great.
  19. Actually would be a great idea
  20. Chris needs to find some more guys to flip at the deadline now. Need some reclamation projects like last year.
