I posted this in the other thread, but here is the schedule for ESPN/ESPN2. Tomorrow night's opener is on ESPN. November 9th against Colorado is on the Deuce. December 11th against Detroit(SUCKS) is on ESPN. December 14th against Dallas and December 28th against Detroit(SUCKS) are both on the deuce. January 11th against Colorado is on the deuce. February 19th against San Jose, February 28th against St. Louis and April 4th against Dallas are on ESPN. The ESPN games are not blacked out in the Chicago area, but the ESPN2 games are. We have one game on ABC against Boston on Valentines Day.

I would rather see Babchuk down in Norfolk getting the ice time and some time with Yawney so he can work on positioning. It was in the paper today that Korolev is only around because of money.

I would rather see the opportunity to let a kid play and develop than to bring in a vet on a short term deal. The experience will benefit us more in the long haul. Yes the kid will make some errors, but I am willing to live with them. I agree that there is some bickering over at BHZ, but it is the same that goes on at any board. It is still the best place for any Hawks info. Oh yeah... :fthecubs

Cambodian Dies After Attack on Testicles 1 hour, 29 minutes ago PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - A woman in Cambodia has given herself up to authorities after accidentally killing her husband in a scuffle in which she squeezed his testicles until he fainted, a newspaper reported Friday. Saut Chin, 46, was fed up with physical abuse from her husband when she grabbed his testicles until he passed out in the incident Tuesday, the Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper reported. Fearing that her husband, Ouch Yan, 52, might regain consciousness and start beating her again, Saut Chin tied his neck with a scarf to a bed, the newspaper said. The exact cause of Ouch Yan's death was not known. The incident occurred in a village near Sihanoukville, a port city 115 miles southwest of Phnom Penh, news reports said. Saut Chin and her husband Ouch Yan, 52, were arguing when the husband then kicked his wife in the crotch, the reports said. "Hurt badly and fed up, she grabbed her husband's testicles and squeezed them with full strength until he fell unconscious on the spot," Rasmei Kampuchea said, citing police reports of the woman's confession. After discovering that her husband was dead, Saut Chin reported herself to local authorities and asked to be jailed. She said she had not intended to kill her husband "but only to teach him a lesson," according to the newspaper.

I don't want the Hawks picking up any over the hill/over priced vet's that will take any ice time away from the kids. The kids are the future of the team and it looks pretty bright. Play the kids and live with their mistakes.

I'm with Heather and the Critic on this one. Overall, baseball is a boring game to watch. In regards to the pitcher setting up the hitter, etc. The same nuances exist in hockey, but the average person doesn't understand all of the things going on. Do you think players/goalies aren't trying to set each other up for the next shot? What about sending certain players out to force the opposing coach to adjust? That is also the game within the game. Also you don't have a guy trying to hit you while you hit the baseball, you can just concentrate on hitting it. Why wouldn't you want to be able to score when you are on defense? What makes it better is the fact that both teams can score at any time...players have to be able to play offense and defense at the same time. Personally, I will stay up until all hours of the night to watch hockey games. Baseball, not so much. That's my 2 cents.

I was out fishing on Friday morning and Murph & Fred played "When the Cubs win the world series". I couldn't get it out of my head. I do love that line "Harry Caray's Sons sons sons sons son will do the play by play."
