Man da Cubs r really lookin dangerous with Prior and Wood pitching da way they r. I think Prior's da best starter in the league now. If u were building an expansion team I'd think he'd be they guy u'd pick 1st. He's only 23, throws complete games, and those fastballs of his r nasty, and he mixes in his curve well as well. The Braves looke bamboozled against him tonite.

I heard a story on the radio a few days bf when I was driving bout a guy in Cambodia who was all hallucianated on drugs and he had visions telling him to eat his testicles and he did with a knife and fork, LOL.

The only way Jeff Weaver finds his way in a White Sox uniform next year is if the Yanks pick up bout half of his salary. But I wouldn't write him off just yet either. Once he gets out of New York he'll be fine cos he won't be under any pressure anymores and I think Don Cooper could do wonders with him like he did with Loaiza this year. Remember he was a pretty good pitcher in Detroit for a while.

Da Marlins r like the Angels from last year, a feelgood story. U neva know they've got 2 chances to put the Giants away.

Does any1 here watch any Reality TV shows? Personally the only 1 I like is The Amazing Race, others like Big Brother r really stupid, repetitive and annoying.

This is from ESPN, Grace expects to land a job with Arizona. "Somehow, some way, I'm sure that we haven't seen the last of me in this Diamondbacks' organization," he said. A spot in the broadcast booth is his if he wants it, but Grace has indicated a desire to coach and someday manage. "My gut feeling is, and I'll say publicly, that I'm not sure he wants to take the uniform off," Colangelo said. "We'll have to determine whether that means being part of the organization in some capacity that still includes wearing a uniform, or to talk about the booth. I don't know, but he knows there's an opportunity here for him."

Yeah I saw that on ESPN bf, see u neva know what's gonna happen in the off-season do u. Molds in the roof, neva heard of that 1 bf.

He mite hav a chance of managing in Arizona cos Brenly's on pretty thin ice over there in da desert. (Does that make sense?)

Hmm I think he's just makin up excuses. NEW YORK -- Minnesota manager Ron Gardenhire wasn't a fan of "God Bless America" on Thursday night. With the score 1-all, Irish tenor Ronan Tynan sang a long, slow version of the song during the seventh-inning stretch in Game 2 of the AL playoff series between New York and Minnesota. The Yankees then scored three runs in the bottom half, going on to a 4-1 win. Gardenhire thought the long break in the middle of the inning may have affected his pitcher Brad Radke, who hit Nick Johnson with a pitch leading off the bottom half. "I thought sitting there in that long inning, 'God Bless America,' I never like those situations because it takes a long time, and the pitcher has got to sit there for an extra amount of time," Gardenhire said. "Then he goes out there and he ends up hitting the first hitter right in the butt. We have seen that happen to our pitchers before when you have long innings like that. It does seem to happen that way. That's just part of the game." "God Bless America" has been played during the seventh-inning stretch of Yankees' home games -- and at many other parks around the major leagues -- since the September 2001 terrorist attacks. Radke said that he did extra stretching during the long break, and he didn't think he was bothered by the lengthy pause.

The Sports Bar...How do you like it?
DBAHO replied to Heads22's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Yeah I only ever used to post in da Pale Hose Talk forum, but now it's great we got a Sports Bar and Off Topic Board to post on now. -
This is off topic but I had to post this pic I found of Zaza Pachulia from da Magic. U think he's ever seen a football bf?
-
I'm rootin for da Giants or Marlins, whoeva wins that series. Marlins winnin would be like da Angels from last year.

Ok here's my top 5 even though I don't know too much bout our Prospect System except for da big guys. 1) Kris Honel - Be in our Rotation by 2005, No. 2 or 3 starter for many years 2) Neal Cotts - If he works out his control issues and develops that cutter, he'll be sumthin special. 3) Arnie Munoz - Heard too damn much bout his curveball not to like him. Plus he's already in AAA ball. 4) Jon Rauch - Seriously unlucky not to be given another chance at the end of the season, if he pitches well in Spring Training I think he'll be our No. 5. 5) Corwin Malone - Please get back to ur 2001 form pronto.
-
Not much of a suprise there although I think he's wrong in saying he's the only big guy who'll be on da market. Philly mite not resign Kevin Millwood so there's another guy. I could actually really see him in San Diego next year, but I don't think either Seattle or Anaheim could afford him. Good to see he doesn't really want to pitch for Boston or da Yanks though. That's promising.

Yeah I've got Adobe Photoshop 7 as well and I've got absolutely no clue how to use it either. I'll hav to get the ppl who do Graphics at school to teach me how to use it.

Andy Pettite was brutal against the Twinkies today. I was watching da game on Fox and 1 AB summed the game up in the 4th I think when Jacque Jones was up and he struggling just to foul balls off and then struck on a high and tight fastball.

Extra inning playoff game vs Overtime playoff game
DBAHO replied to sox-r-us's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Maybe Bud Selig shoulda been listening at the All Star Game last year. -
I actually heard that now Seattle wants Billy Beane to be thier GM but apparently the Oakland Owner won't allow em to speak to him. Anyways ship Konerko off to LA, see if we can get Thurston or even Cesar Isturiz? for him. Dan Evans is on da hot seat cos LA has the 4th biggest payroll (which isn't DE's fault e.g Kevin Brown) and they haven't made the playoffs for da last couple of years.
