QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 4, 2012 -> 06:15 PM) CNN just drug an old lady out of bed to figure it out. Should of just 3D'ed Hologramed her.

QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 12:33 PM) EDIT: I've probably said this a few times in the last few pages, but I'd really like to stress again how fun it is to watch a pick and roll oriented team after the trainwreck that was the Rambis administration. Rick Adelman's a pretty decent offensive coach isn't he.

QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 04:07 AM) JJ Redick would also be a perfect fit, but again, not sure what the Wolves could give up to make it worth Orlando's time. Same goes for Arron Afflalo. I'd love to move Jason Richardson to move Redick into the starting lineup so that we could upgrade at the PG position somehow. Problem is, it'd have to be a 3 way deal, and J-Rich isn't eligible to be dealt until March I believe. Still something like J-Rich to Minny (or back to PHX), Gortat to Minny, and Orlando getting an upgrade on Jameer Nelson (include him if need be) etc. is something that could maybe work.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 05:41 PM) Really, you think Spencer will be gone? I actually like Spencer, I think he does a fine job, but yeah, the rest of them need to go. Especially Scandrick, I can't stand him. I think he's fine as a run stopper, but they need more of a pass rushing threat from the OLB spot opposite Ware. I think the Cowboys will probably go after Asante Samuel if he's let go from Philly, and then draft a 3-4 DE or OLB with their 1st rounder in the draft depending on who's available at 14.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 06:09 PM) So unsurprising. The Kings were absolute idiots for drafting him that high. There was no way he was going to behave. Reckon Boston would be the ideal fit for him, KG would probably keep him in line until he retired. Not really sure what SAC would want in return though. They're pretty deep in most spots, but no real star quality.

Giants gave us so many opportunities in that half, and yet we still couldn't come up with the goods. Spencer, Newman, James and Brooking will all be gone for sure. Need upgrades on the interior line, outside linebacker and BADLY in the secondary, especially at CB. Oh and Smith and Free need to swap positions.

QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 01:11 PM) Kevin Love is really good at basketball. Ryan Anderson's got some game this season as well. He's Kevin Love Lite it seems.
-
Another Cowboys meltdown at the end of a season. Rob Ryan's probably going to be in some trouble after this.
-
Glen Davis got winded after 20-25 mins of basketball, oh boy. On another note, I've read some rumors about Eric Gordon not wanting to be in New Orleans (can you blame him), but I don't know how you'd be able to get him out of there currently.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Dec 17, 2011 -> 03:01 AM) I like a lot of those, although I've never even heard of 7 or 5, and haven't listened to any of 6. I'd add: Foo Fighters - Wasting Light The Black Keys - El Camino Yep definitely enjoyed both of those this year. Has anyone listened to the SHM Concert from MSG on Friday Night? Pretty good mix if you're interested in the whole Dance / House music scene.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 18, 2011 -> 06:38 PM) They were up 28-0, what the f*** did you expect?? What the heck happened to the Buccs, they were legit playoff contenders last year and have just fallen apart. Josh Freeman looked like a franchise QB and now you have to question him. P.S. I am not looking forward to attending the football game at Soldier Field in ten hours. To at least come out and play hard. If they play that sort of football against either Philly or New York, we won't make the playoffs. I feel sorry for Freeman in a way, he's got absolutely no playmakers around him and a pretty bad offensive line. They're not exactly putting him in a position to succeed.

Pretty ugly game all round really. Hope Garrett tears into them for that 2nd half effort.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 16, 2011 -> 07:24 PM) Hamilton at least knows how to play defense and is capable of fitting well into the Bulls' defensive scheme. I'm not sure I can say the same for Crawford. From an outsider's perspective I think there's pluses and minuses for both of them. In the regular season, I think Rip will be a decent enough fit on both sides of the ball. Come playoff time though, opposing teams are obviously going to focus on Rose and try to make the other guys on the court beat you. That's where I think Crawford would come in real handy in a series against a Miami or a Boston, he can create his own shot and easily put up 20+ points, and would help lighten the load on Rose. Rip obviously can't create his own shot, and that's the major difference b/w the 2.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Dec 16, 2011 -> 06:54 PM) I think youd have more of an argument countering with Terry or Marion over Kidd...All hes got is his leadership now(on a team full of vets so its not really needed) C.J. Watson could have easily put up 8+ and 8+ if he played 35 min a game like kidd did. Would have gone with Tyson Chandler myself (albeit he was in a contract year).

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 01:16 AM) I don't really see how this would be possible. They still haven't resigned Afflalo (but I imagine they will), however, Chandler and JR Smith being stuck in China doesn't help anything. Well they've got pretty good depth as it is, and George Karl has been a pretty good coach over the years. They probably do need another star player to put them in the upper caliber teams in the West, but they've got young guys like Gallinari who can definitely improve also.

Nets supposedly coming up with a 4 team trade proposal for Howard and Hedo with Brook Lopez, 1st rounders and a significant piece on the table also. Since Nene re-signed with the Nuggets (sleeper team this season IMO), they are probably going to focus hard on Howard. Although I read somewhere today, if the Mavs amnesty Haywood at the end of this season and with Odom's expiring deal (I assume Kidd's deal also finishes at the end of this season), apparently they could have the cap room to sign both Deron Williams and Howard (how that would work I'm not sure).

QUOTE (juddling @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 03:48 PM) Lita arrested Former WWE Diva Amy "Lita" Dumas was arrested on December 9th for Driving While License Suspended/Revoked and Speeding in Excess of Maximum Limits in Columbia County, Georgia. As of this writing, Dumas appears to be still in jail and has a bond set at $2,200. You can actually see her mug shot on the Georgia Police site. On another note, look at the Naitch Stylin and Proflyin on the TNA Cruise. WOOOOOOO!

Other GM's are complaining now because they thought Stern told Donald Sterling what offers other teams were putting in for Billups so that the CP3 deal can go ahead (with the inclusion of Bledsoe). On another note, Dwight Howard's words today were a bit more encouraging for a Magic fan. There's no doubt he wants that 2nd star to play with in order to stay with Orlando, but how we can pull that off with our roster currently I don't know.

Someone came up with this trade as well which I found amusing; http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=c7zdzsg

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 04:29 PM) I didn't think it made any sense for LA to give up Gasol and Odom for Paul unless they absolutely knew they were getting Dwight anyways. You just can't depend on Bynum as your only legit big, and they have ZERO depth. This situation with Odom for crap from Dallas confuses me too. I'm assuming that it's to get another young asset or two to get Dwight. That said, what the hell are you going to be left with? Don't you kind of need more than Kobe and Dwight? I'm guessing the deal is Gasol, Bynum and whatever Dallas gives them for Dwight and Hedo. So that would leave them with something like... PG- Fisher, Blake SG- Kobe SF- Hedo, Peace, Barnes, Walton, Ebanks PF- Character C- Dwight That roster is pretty god damn awful outside of the two superstars. They'd definitely need to find some other bodies up front, you can't roll with Dwight and f***ing Derrick Character up front. Now I wonder, if the Magic do indeed get Bynum and Gasol + something else for Dwight and Hedo, does that make them a contender still in the East, if they decide to hang onto both of them? Do they ship off Gasol and Bynum for young assets and try to rebuild? In either case, this forces New Jersey to improve their offer. Brook Lopez and a couple of draft picks ain't going to get it done here. I have to say, Dallas did very well to get Odom for nothing as well. He'll allow them to give Dirk much more of a rest during the regular season which can only help them come playoff time.

J-Rich is off the market now also, 25/4 with Orlando. This just confuses me even more, I guess Otis thinks we can still contend even without Dwight somehow.
-
And we just signed Big Baby to be our next center! Hooray! Not a good day to be a Magic fan, and the city of Orlando would be hurting right now, it's Deja Vu with the Shaq situation again. Certain people don't rate Dwight at a superstar because he can't shoot FT's, and his offensive game isn't as polished as Shaq's. But last season he began to shoot Timmy D's bank shot with quite a bit of success, and you watch the Nets instantly turn into a top 5 defensive team in the NBA now just because of Howard. Lopez + 2 picks for Howard and Hedo is probably going to be the deal. Whether we have enough cap room to sign a max free agent next off-season now such as Kevin Love, I'm not sure, but if the Big Baby deal means we don't, I'll be very, very annoyed.

QUOTE (Greyone @ Dec 10, 2011 -> 06:16 PM) Yeah, thought that also until he wanted to go to tropical New Jersey. Last year they got hit with more snow then we did I believe. I suppose the allure and being the #1 guy in a brand new team in Brooklyn would be a very good incentive as well.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 10, 2011 -> 05:55 PM) Why on earth would Howard not want to play here? Has a reason actually been speculated upon? Doesn't like the cold weather.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 10, 2011 -> 05:41 PM) Davis' TS%: 50% Bass' TS%: 57% You're talking about an above average shooter vs. a piss poor shooter. Especially considering the fact that Davis takes a lot of high percentage shots. I really don't think Dwight's coming back. And if that is the case, then this move was just a serious WTF. I said that Bass was a better shooter than Davis, but Davis is better than Bass at the other parts of the game (defense, ball handling etc.) Still hasn't stopped all of the so called experts "slurping" this move for the Celtics though.
