Furcal would be great, I'd certainly swap him for O-Cab, therefore allowing Swish to hit say in the #2 spot, but he's going to get a big deal in the off-season most likely. But the Sox should have some $$$ to use this off-season with 9.5M in Crede's and Uribe's contracts coming off the books.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 01:02 AM) I know it stands for "Revised Zone Rating" But Can you explain the formula for RZR please? Revised Zone Rating is the proportion of balls hit into a fielder's zone that he successfully converted into an out. Zone Rating was invented by John Dewan when he was CEO of Stats Inc. John is now the owner of Baseball Info Solutions, where he has revised the original Zone Rating calculation so that it now lists balls handled out of the zone (OOZ) separately (and doesn't include them in the ZR calculation) and doesn't give players extra credit for double plays (Stats had already made that change). We believe both changes improve Zone Ratings substantially. To get a full picture of a player's range, you should evaluate both his Revised Zone Rating and his plays made out of zone (OOZ). You can read more about the Revised Zone Ratings in this article. http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/...hardball-times/

Imagine if they actually hired "The Wiggles" though. You can add an extra 0 or 2 right there.

Well in less than a week's time, I am going to be moving to America for a year, to be working in New York with an internship. Basically, I've done lot of research etc., heard about all of the main sites etc. but I am just wondering if anyone here can recommend any places, whether it's sightseeing, to eat, a bar etc. FWIW I am staying in Newport, Jersey City for the year, and working out of Long Island City (so if anyone knows anything about those places also).

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 21, 2008 -> 09:13 PM) When asked why 55-year-old Putin would consider marrying Kabayeva, he promptly answered, "Because she's 24 and she can do THIS!!" Putin's obviously seen the Seinfeld epsiode where Jerry dates the Gymnist then.

Here's another. Our infield has a combined RZR of .755. Outfield is .928. AL averages are .788 and .895 respectively.

Dayn's become quite the KW fan over the past couple of seasons. Nothing really out of the ordinary, we all know that the season depends on the back-end of the rotation, nothing new there.

Paulie's OPS in his 1st 2 months are the worst out of any period of time over his career. He's a notorious slow starter. But we've got other guys who are picking up the slack. His GPA did slip to .272 last season (from the high .290's to .300's in his prev. 3 seasons), and he's currently at .227. So what does that mean? We just better hope he's not aging quickly, and his bat is slowing down. There's a slight concern, but I'm confident he'll rebound.
-
No. He had 24K's less in 2007 than 2006, yet his ERA was 1.23 better. He does well, because he doesn't give up the long ball. He's only given up 10HR's in more than 3 seasons, and currently has a GB% of 58.3% and a LB% of 20.8%.
-
MB's had stretches where he's had periods like this before, so I'm not majorly concerned. It's a good thing, he's the one we're worrying about right now, instead of Danks, Floyd or Jose. Right now, Cabrera's RZR is .756, down from .807 last season, so he certainly needs to pick it up there. Uribe has gone from .796 in 2007 to .806 currently.

Decent from Poreda, but you'd probably like to see more from him down at that level.
-
GO PHILLY. Would certainly be the end of Saunders, and would be a great chance for us to make the conference finals if Philly ended up winning that series.
-
Yay for finally winning a playoff game. Bosh and Ford / Calderon won't play that badly again though.
-
Well that isn't going to help matters is it. Wonder if they'll think about trading him now.
-
What flavor is it is all I want to know.
-
Sounds as if Carey Price is starting to struggle a bit. Maybe just a bit too much pressure for him as a 20 year old goalie in the playoffs?
-
Utah is my sleeper team to win it all. They'll probably have the beat the Lakers next round, but they do have some favorable matchups. Williams is better than Fisher, while if Kirilenko plays as well as he did tonight, he's better than Walton / Radmanovic. They made it to the conference finals last season also, so they've been there before.

It's the "special" type of gatorade, for extreme performance.
-
FWIW, Crede has 3.7 P/PA, Swisher has 4.3 P/PA.
-
Well before today Swisher had a .280/.448/.420 line while Joe Crede had a .304/.355/.625 line. Who would you argue has been the better offensive player so far? GPA wise, Swisher's is .298, Crede's is .307. So despite there being at least a +.100 difference in OPS, the difference in GPA is less than 0.1.

CP3's going to kill Jason Kidd this series. Hornets in 5. Phoenix needs to steal a game in San Antonio to have any chance. Fantastic game today though, heard there was quite a bit of flopping though. If Utah can win this game in Houston, they're up by 6 at half-time, they'll win the series. Almost unbeatable at home this season.

Trouble in Toronto;
-
Yeah you and Mario need to start doing them again Jason, especially with the team actually doing well this season.
