  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 19, 2005 -> 12:20 AM) And as long as Seattle is even close, they won't be trading Everyday Eddie. Which leaves Billy Wagner. :uhoh

    Music Suggestions

    I gotta hav a listen to the new Weezer album as well. And Coldplay's new song.
  3. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ May 19, 2005 -> 12:08 AM) I wonder if Seattle would be interested in trading Soriano?? Is he still hurt? He had quite some value at the start of last season before he got injured. Latest news on him from last month;
  4. Happy B-Day to the Spiffmeister!!!! And Happy B-Day to my old buddy THEBIGHURTBEGOOD (you'll always be that name). And make sure you BE GOOD now. :begood
  5. QUOTE(ISF @ May 19, 2005 -> 12:03 AM) I'd be happy to take Villone off their hands for Burke. Bill Bavasi would be laughing at that. A lot of teams wanted Villone last off-season, because he was one of the few relievers available who could actually get LHH out.
  6. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ May 18, 2005 -> 04:36 PM) Is it me, or does are farm system kinda rock? I haven't been this excited about so many guys from our system in a LONG time. Last year's draft certainly helped things there, and even a few guys who we took there early we haven't seen much of this season, from Lumsden to Whisler. B-Ham do have a great team prospect wise at the moment though. And I wouldn't count out Chris Young from the starting outfield projections yet Jabroni, the Sox are definitely pretty high on him.
  7. Interesting little piece here from the Seattle Post - Intelligencer; And maybe here's our chance to get a lefty;

    QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 18, 2005 -> 11:36 PM) Other than Morneau, their whole infield sucks. They would have loved to have Koskie back for the right price, but Mike Cuddyer has done a pretty good job this month; .350/.386/.450
  9. Watching Ichiro throw out runners everyday..... $12,529,000 Watching Kaz Matsui hit below .240....... $7,058,333 Watching Tadahito deliver in the clutch.... Priceless
  10. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 18, 2005 -> 11:35 PM) Speaking of Bobby Abreu, I heard Kenny wanted to trade Brain Anderson for him. Is this true?

    There are some holes creeping into Minny's lineup as well. Jason Bartlett and Luis Rivas have already been replaced by Juan Castro and Nick Punto, which will hardly strike fear into opposing pitchers. But as usual, those head to head games will be crucial, as they always are.
  12. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 18, 2005 -> 11:25 PM) I thought there was a charge to do certain things? Unless Bobby Abreu teaches you how to hit.
  13. Close tony, I'll just move it to Around the Horn instead.
  14. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 18, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) That's okay. I expect Brain Anderson to be a lot better than Brian. He's a smart player who really knows how to play fundamental baseball. Enough already.
  15. QUOTE(doUrememberwhen @ May 18, 2005 -> 05:26 PM) How about Chris Amador? I see some good stats on this guy including the speed 11 SBs in 12 tries, and some good power 8 hrs. ?????? It's his 4st season in minor league baseball, and he's still only down in Winston - Salem. Ricks is in his 1st FULL season of minor league baseball for Kanny, and these are his splits; .210/.366/.276. Both are the same age though.
  16. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:49 AM) don't call me a whore you whore Ok Cheaty McCheatstein.
  17. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 17, 2005 -> 08:50 AM) Soxtalk once in a while. Liar.
  18. Since Choi isn't sucking it up for the Dodgers either, that rules out that scenario. If Beane can find a taker for Hatteberg, then he could trade for Sweeney.
  19. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 18, 2005 -> 09:08 AM) It has nothing to do with his attractiveness. It's just that Borchard has that "deer caught in the headlights" look all the time. Yes Mr. Ford.
  20. QUOTE(doUrememberwhen @ May 18, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) So who r OUR best 2b/ middle infield prospects(beside pedro lopez) that I can wait for??? Since Valido got suspended, I'd actually say Adam Ricks, even though he doesn't have a good AVG right now. Great BB/K ratio though.
  21. A.J Pierzynski has an average lower than Joe Crede. Just some food for thought.
  22. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 18, 2005 -> 01:25 AM) Yeah, but it has nothing on Australian Rules Football, or footy, as you may call it. We also drink Fosters. Only Southsider does (and we know you love it). And yes footy is a great game, if you can understand it. We had a German friend over at our house on the weekend and we spent about 45 mins teaching him the rules on the TV. He had the most fun when a bunch of players started a melee and threw some "jumper punches".
  23. They play rugby in America now?
  24. And what happens when Frank comes back? Rowand down to 5th maybe?
