  1. Only 3.2 IP at home where he has an 0.00 ERA IIRC. And no, we're not talking about the Big Red Dog.
  2. I go "Meh, at least I wasn't there".
  3. The past 2 games haven't helped Freddy and Neal round here that's for sure.
  4. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 16, 2005 -> 11:42 PM) True, Karsay is a righty while Cotts is a lefty but does it matter? Cotts has actually been much worse against lefties this season. Cotts vs. Left-handed Batter 5.0 IP 7.20 ERA .391 BAA 1.80 WHIP 9 H 0 BB 5 K Cotts vs. Right-handed Batter 6.2 IP 1.35 ERA .048 BAA 1.20 WHIP 1 H 7 BB 5 K True, but it's still a pretty small sample size. Plus, the Sox are most likely going to have 2 lefties in their pen anyways.
  5. I'll be happy with going a little over .500 for the rest of the way, should probably be just good enough to make the playoffs.
  6. We did not trade Jeremy Reed, Miguel Olivo and Mike Morse for a #5 starter.
  7. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ May 17, 2005 -> 12:12 AM) I feel the same. I am going to the Wrigley game on Sunday and I hope so bad that we win this series. I was at the 4th of July Sunday night ESPN game last year when we were swept. Walking through the drunken streets of Wrigleyville, was a very depressing night getting jeered by their idiot fans. I just want the team to do what it has to and take the series. I remember watching that game on ESPN. They were cutting out to people who worked at a fire house, and they were all pretty much Cub fans.
  8. QUOTE(Steff @ May 17, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) I don't think they'll have to sneak... the front door is working just fine for them right now. Yes, but is their offense going to remain this good. Are there any 15 game winners on that staff? The Yankees have won like 6 straight now also, and you know Boston is going to pick it up when they get Schilling, Wells and Miller back into their rotation.
  9. I think another thing to look is our bullpen compared to other teams in the league. Only Minny in our division would probably be better than our pen. In the AL East, I don't know if there's a better bullpen except for perhaps Boston. In the AL West, only Anaheim and maybe Oakland would probably have better pens. I know everyone is desperate to send Cotts down, but we should at least be thankful that our pen isn't as bad as some other teams in the league, like the Cubs and Rockies.
  10. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ May 16, 2005 -> 09:02 AM) 18, Roselle, Illinois how did everyone here become sox fans not living in illinois, i dont get that Each person has their own story I guess.
  11. We had a German Friend of my Dad's German Work Partner over for lunch yesterday. It's quite interesting with the work / education system over there, basically you need work experience overseas in order to have any hope of getting a job back over there. We saw like 1000 diff photos he showed us though, now I don't mind looking at photos at all, but when you do it for like 3 hours straight, then it can get just a little boring.
  12. Pods is making only about $650,000 this season right? Didn't Crawford sign a long - term deal with the D-Rays as well last season? I know Philly were very interested in trading for him.
  13. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 16, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) Someone needs to tell Cotts that he isn't supposed to put the first batter he faces on base be it from a walk, hit, or HBP. I don't know if we'd able to see these stats, but I'd like to see Cotts' ERA and splits when he pitches at the start of an inning, instead of replacing someone with runners already on. I think he's probably come in more replacing a starter at home than away, but I can't say for sure.
  14. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ May 16, 2005 -> 09:34 AM) yeah cotts sucks, dont see why we dont bring up bmac for long relieve or adkins Statements like calling up B-Mac for long relief when he has struggled in his last 2 starts make me laugh.
  15. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 16, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) "Karsay agrees to terms with Rangers Reliever expected to start with Double-A team" http://texas.rangers.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/ne...t=.jsp&c_id=tex THe Flubs wanted him. HAHA! No bullpen help for you! But only MLB minimum for Karsay? I would have taken a flier on him if it would have meant Cotts getting sent packing. Karsay = Not a Lefty = Cotts stays
  16. That's a very colorful uniform.
  17. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 16, 2005 -> 12:46 PM) Thanks for all the serious replies! Your Welcome.
  18. They donated all the stuff to me as a Tax Write-Off.
  19. Gio's back. Hopefully we'll see him with the Warthogs very soon.
  20. Those are some great pics there BHAM.
  21. Challenge to Douchebag: Would you go to a Sox game right now?
  22. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 16, 2005 -> 10:03 AM) I meant nishioka instead of shimizu for the first part. Point still stands that shimizu will most likely go to the padres. They have had interest in him for quote a while now. One of Matsuzuka or Shimizu will probably have a good chance at going to the Padres, considering the Padres are also scouting Daisuke. And they'll probably become studs pitching at PETCO too. A very nice rotation they'll have there with Jake Peavy and Adam Eaton.
  23. Here's my error message; No combination of filters could be found to render the stream. You've encountered error message 80040218 while using Windows Media Player.
  24. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 16, 2005 -> 01:50 AM) for mlb.tv switch the preferences to realplayer. works 100x better. I should do that too. Most of the time when I actually try to watch a game, when it says its loading, it locks up as well which is really weird.
  25. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 16, 2005 -> 01:40 AM) Adkins up, Cotts down. Adkins stats down at Charlotte (he's been starting). 2-3, 4.75 ERA, 13 BB's, 30 K's. Bajenaru's stats; 1-0, 0.54 ERA, 9 BB's, 15 K's, 1 HR in 16.2 IP. Munoz's stats; 1-3, 5.04 ERA, 8 BB's, 24 K's. Josh Fields' stats (no, not that Josh Fields); 0-1, 3.38 ERA, 10 BB's, 14 K's.
