  1. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) No complaints there from me. But let's just make sure it's the real AJ. We can sign him in August. Thought you may want to see this;
  2. Another good one is that we just have to go a little of .500 the rest of the way to win 90 games, very, very achieveable. Although I don't trust Dayn Perry's judgement very much at all.
  3. Article here from the Southtown;
  4. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ May 6, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) I don't agree with Duhon not making the second team. What the hell did Jameer Nelson do? POST ALL STAR - 14.9 points, 4.6 assists, 1.48 steals.
  5. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) I agree. I didn't have any problems with his column. He's expressed nothing more than we have here at Soxtalk. I guess considering it is from Mariotti, more people, mainly Sox fans are likely to jump on it and call it garbage. Hey at least, he had a go at the Cubs right?
  6. Why would you even read this damn article if it's SO personal. That's the thing that hits out at me the most from his Sox articles. It's all about him vs. Hawk, him vs. JR, him vs. KW, him vs. Ozzie. For bleeping sake, there are more humans on this planet than just you Mr. Kotex Boy, although he wouldn't realize it. It's his way or the high-way.
  7. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 6, 2005 -> 05:01 PM) Pargo could steal four or five off of iverson. If he got 40 mins which ain't gonna happen.
  8. Isn't Hunter Hillemeyer one of the starting LB'ers right now?
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 6, 2005 -> 11:33 AM) But would you honestly chose Duhon ahead of Deng? Cause Iggy had a pretty solid year and considering he was healthy the whole year was definately chosen over Luol (who I happen to rave about). Although he was better than Jamer Nelson who made the 2nd squad (regardless of Nelson's hot finish...he isn't near the all around player Duhon is). Nelson's going to be a good player though if he isn't one already. He might not be tall enough to consistently be a starting PG, but I can easily see him winning a few 6th man awards in his career. Excellent stealer as well, had like 7 on AI in 1 game. Oh and as if I didn't hate the Cubune enough, i do NOW; :fyou

    QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ May 6, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) Yah that sounds very typical of when I still had my router hooked up. Do you use Azereus? And do you know what a router actually does? I have a Wireless Setup here at home, with the router and modem downstairs and my computer here upstairs. I have tried Azereus but every time I try to connect it comes up with a NAT Error so I have to use BitTornado.

    Right now I'm downloading something with 4 peers and 4 seeds, with a download speed of 1-2KB/s.
  12. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 6, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) Are you freaking kidding me. This is so easy...Bears are going to win 8 games minimum and my guess is they win more like 10. This isn't because they are that good, its more in fact due to the easy early schedule they have. Oh and the Browns are freaking awful. Ok I'm definitely going to remember this. At least I can take comfort in knowing the Cowboys will have a better record than the Bears.

    I too tried everything on that site, and open up ports on every single damn firewall I have on this computer, and still don't get a green light. Oh well.
  14. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ May 6, 2005 -> 01:44 AM) Only time I watch is when an actually Baseball game is on, otherwise I not to intrested in hearing about how the Yankees,Red Sox, Cubs are going to fix this season. I guess I should have pointed out, I don't even have ESPN.
  15. Simple solution to ESPN threads; Just don't watch the stupid channel like me.
  16. This little piece got me thinking, although I know how this poll is going to end up;
  17. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 4, 2005 -> 11:34 PM) Damn I was really thinking the Kings were really going to take this series with Miller and Jackson back. If I was Rick Adelman, I'd be a little worried about my job security right now. Damn I'm good;
  18. And I loved this quote from Ozzie on the Yankees' starters;
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 5, 2005 -> 03:58 AM) Sign seen on the fridge in our lunchroom "Thanks for eating my birthday cake. I didn't even get a piece of it. I hope you liked it" Where's Terry Tate when you need him.
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 6, 2005 -> 12:47 AM) So does he make the first round? nbadraft.net had him going late in the 2nd round. Plus the likes of Salim Stoudemire are probably going to be picked ahead of him as well. He's too small for a SG but not good enough to be a PG. Perfect example of a "tweener" in the NBA.
  21. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ May 5, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) It would be amazing for Malone to get back on the map. I was a huge fan of this guy a few years back. He was on the same level as Jake Peavy prospect wise, and look at how good Jake is now.
  22. The Yankees are always going to score runs, that's a given, although their lineup isn't as deep as it was last year. They never should have let Miguel Cairo go for Tony Womack, but the worst decision was not resigning Jon Lieber when they could have picked up his $8 million option. Now they're stuck with Kevin Brown and Jaret Wright who had Leo Mazzone's Magic Touch written ALL over him.
  23. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ May 5, 2005 -> 05:26 PM) He was never an option for the Sox. I believe before this year he had never played above A ball. Bizarre how Kansas could have ended up with him. They picked him up 2nd in the Rule V draft so even if we wanted him then, we wouldn't have gotten him.
