  1. I suppose Reinsdorf will be using inflation as his main defence for the rising ticket prices again.
  2. I wouldn't mind Molina on the Southside at all, depends what the Halos do with Piazza, Beltran or Varitek etc., although I think Jason would prob. know a little more about Bengie. Sub Guillen for Scott Shields, and I'm starting to like the deal more.
  3. You know when Terry Shea is talking up Chad Hutchison from his practise reps, you're in trouble.
  4. I believe he may have to appear in front of a War Crimes Tribunal now.
  5. After seeing what Guzman got today, I don't think that'll be possible unfortuantely. I see him gettin $5-6 mill from some team either us or St. Louis.
  6. You and Steff both I hope.
  7. Also found this on Young, Eric Young, Utility player. It's hard to say how, exactly, a contending team would use him, but he is useful. He's 37 and played left field, center, second base, third and shortstop for the Texas Rangers last season, none of them particularly well, but he handles them professionally. Young compiled a .377 on-base percentage and 14 stolen bases, and his batting average away from Arlington was 52 points higher. He's a strong team guy. Very attractive one-year buy.
  8. And killing funny looking aliens as some sort of Chief isn't?
  9. The Eagles vs the Packers where once again Donovan McNabb will come into his own, and TO will find a new enemy other than Jeff Garcia.
  10. There aren't too many infielders on the FA market who can boast they can do that, and if they can they're probably out of our price range anyways.
  11. Yeah he can play LF and CF if needed, would give us some much needed versatility. If Texas lose Soriano, I bet the Rangers would prob. try to resign him though, so we'll just have to wait and see as usual.
  12. Young hit .288, 1 HR and 27 RBI's in 104 games in 2004. He also drew 43 BB's, had 28 K's and stole 14 bases. Had an OBP of .377. ($1,000,000)
  13. Barry Larkin will now be available since the Expos signed Guzman instead of him. Cairo wouldn't be a bad idea, but I doubt he'll be leaving New York if they can't sign anyone. Craig Counsel is also still available I believe. It all depends on whether the Sox want starting 2B or SS or a veteran utility guy to back them up.
  14. Rumors out of Milwaulkee and Philly are stating that the Brewers could deal center - fielder Scott Podsednik. Now I know he went a bit backwards this season, but he'd be a very good leadoff hitter for us still and would allow us to move Rowand to RF. Any thoughts?

    Halo 2

Same here. I'm definitely hoping to get an XBOX and Halo 2 by Xmas.
  17. Sam Smith's latest article about Curry possibly being dealt to Phoenix for Joe Johnson and Phoenix's 1st gave me a couple of trade ideas. I think it's pretty obvious that Curry is still in Skiles' doghouse and Paxson wants to move on from the Curry / Chandler era. I came up with a few ideas for possible trades. #1 Eddy Curry to Philly for Samuel Dalembert and Philly's 1st round pick in 2005 or Brian Skinner and Kyle Korver. - Dalembert's not starting for Jim O'Brien at the moment and that's a big suprise for a lot of people. He's a monster on the defensive end and would fit the Bulls' need for a center well. Korver would be a excellent spot up 3 point shooter off the bench and Skinner could be a starting PF or coming off the bench big guy. #2 Eddy Curry to Seattle for Vladimir Radmanovic and Nick Collison #3 Eddy Curry to Memphis for Stromile Swift and Dahntay Jones.
  18. The Sox will likely want to see what Jose does at the start of next season before deciding to deal him. But we could have another Loaiza situation were he's possibly dealt at the deadline. Some team will want to take a chance on him with the stuff he has if we don't.
  19. 4th outfielder perhaps? But we still have Timo around for that job. I don't think Sanchez is leadoff starting outfield quality though. There's a reason he's gone from both Milwaulkee and now by the looks of it Detroit.
  20. Bill Bavasi doesn't want to make the same mistake as last off-season when they signed Raul Ibanez real quick, and then the Royals offered him arbitration so the M's lost draft picks.
  21. FWIW Craig Wilson's stats in 2004. .264 29 HR's 82 RBI's. ($1,150,000)
  22. And Dave Littlefield's an idiot if he does that. Maybe there's a way we could get Wilson as well as Kendall, wouldn't mind having Wilson on the Southside at all. He crushes lefties.
