GM's Meeting
At this current stage of his career, Willie probably isn't ready and suited to be a leadoff man in the majors. But he's good enough to be a hitter down at the #9 spot. Whether that will be with this team, I just don't know. FWIW here's the OBP's of 2nd baseman in our division from this season. Willie Harris - .262 average, .343 OBP ($318,500) Ron Belliard - .282 average, .348 OBP ($1,100,000) Omar Infante - .264 average, .317 OBP ($305,000) Desi Relaford - .221 average, .296 OBP ($900,000) Luis Rivas - .256 average, .283 OBP ($1,500,000)

GM's Meeting
Look we don't know what's going to happen with Willie in the future, his status is right up in the air right now. He may not get that chance to prove himself here anymore by the looks of things between him and Ozzie. Of course if we sign Vizquel, Uribe and Harris will be fighting for time at 2nd, and I think it's pretty easy to see which way that is going to go. But no way should you write off a player after his first full season in the majors. A lot of hitters don't get it until they've been in the majors for a few seasons at least, so they can work on their strike zone, and the little things that will make them a better hitter in the future. A lot of people before last season thought Harris was nothing more than a AAAA player. Too good for the minors, and not good enough to make it in the majors. Even though he was inconsistent, a .260 year wasn't the worst result at all.

The "I Can't Fucking Wait Till Tuesday" Thread
Is that the one where you chase the train on the motorcycle with Big Smoke? If it is read about 10 pages before this, and there's help on it. Pretty much just stay as right to the train as you can.

At the moment I'm stuck on the last mission you do for Officer Tenpenny in Los Santos with the Russians and the Ballas. Anyone know where I can pick up some body armor?

I had my macro-economics exam last week. That was copied straight from my study guide.

Bush to Push for huge tax overhaul
Yeah there'll be both crowding out and int. crowding out. Crowding Out – Expansionary fiscal policy increases the interest rate and so decreases all the interest – sensitive components of aggregate expenditure. The decrease in investment that results from an expansionary fiscal policy is called crowding out. International Crowding Out – Expansionary fiscal policy leads to higher interest rates, which makes the dollar rise in value against other currencies, which decreases net exports. The tendency for expansionary fiscal policy to decrease net exports is called international crowding out.

Bears Giants game thread
The sad thing is you guys have the same record as us, with a rookie QB picked in the low rounds, your leading rusher out and not much in the way of receivers. Lovie Smith's done an excellent job so far, especially with that defense.

Just Two More Days...
Ok anyone who's got XBox live, can you answer this. If I ended up buying an XBOX and this game along with XBOX live, would I be able to play against you guys in America, or would I only be able to play against people from my own country?

Bush to Push for huge tax overhaul
This is what we call an expansionary fiscal policy. This is when the government increases government expenditure or decreases taxes. It will shift the aggregate demand curve to the right. Expansionary fiscal policy can be used to increase real GDP and decrease the U/N rate in a recession. Taxation is another tool of fiscal policy and can be used to alter the level of expenditure. It has a slightly different impact on the economy because a change in taxation will impact on disposable income and consumption. Tax Multiplier = -MPC / (1 – MPC) Changes in the level of tax revenue or transfer payments occur as the economy expands or contracts. For example, as the economy grows, employment increases as does tax revenue. Such an induced component of fiscal policy is known as an automatic stabilizer because it occurs automatically.

Sox suitors for some free agents
I look for a team like the Giants or Dodgers to be sleepers in the market for Pavano as well, if they can't get Pedro Martinez. They both have a pitcher's park which will be a big plus in negotations.

Is Brenda Warner the QB for the Giants today or sumthing?

Sosa for Shawn Green
If Sosa is traded, his option for 2006 is automatically picked up. So he'll hav 2 not 1 more year left on his deal. Frankly, the only way the Dodgers will do this is if they can't sign one of Glaus, Beltre, Sexson or Delgado in my mind. Supossedly, DePodesta wants a big name to add to the middle of his lineup.

- GM's Meeting
It was his 1st full season in the majors, he's not going to step up and hit like Albert Pujols did when he 1st started. You don't just give up on a guy like Harris with his speed and his leadoff hitting potential. If he can learn to hit LHP, which he may never get the chance too here, then he'll become a much better player.- GM's Meeting
I wouldn't go that far. Realistically, a good season for Fields will see him start at Birmingham and produce well enough for him to finish off the year at Charlotte.- GM's Meeting
Josh Fields could even be ready sometime in 2006. Could have a situation where Crede could be traded mid - season to make room for Fields if he doesn't produce. Now if Crede was to just listen to Greg Walker more abouit his swing, then Fields could become a DH for us possibly in the future if we still have Crede around.- GM's Meeting
KW still has that dream of Crede turning into Adrian Beltre of 2004. Most of us doubt it's gonna happen. - GM's Meeting
