beck72 put in another thread how Castillo was hitting much better for them leading off than what he is now. If they lose Benitez or Mota, they'd want bullpen help, so we could giv them Marte and a prospect maybe.
-
The only problem with that is that if we resign him to a long term deal, and he doesn't hit well like Konerko did last season, he'll become instant trade bait. I still think Ozzie will try to convince KW to make a run for Juan Pierre as well.
-
Exactly, it's not like there's no point in playing Timo Perez or Ross Glaod every day because they are never going to become everyday players for this team, Borch has that chance too. Hopefully he gets enough RBI chances down lower in the order at #8 as well.
-
Ugh - don't remind me about that draft. Joe - f***ing - Blanton, Kenny! (One of the few beefs I've had with Kenneth.) I'm guessin you've prob read Moneyball then , although Blanton has been strugglin a little at AAA, they'd thought he'd prob be with the rotation by now.

That's why I think more ppl would probably trade Lee instead of Konerko if we had to trade one of them. You could much easily find a better replacement for Lee that would fit the makeup of this team than one for Konerko, unless we were able to sign Doug Mientkiewicz though.

Personally I just want to thank Jason, Alex and all the admin for the oppurtunity to be a mod here on SoxTalk, I've been posting here for over a year now and there are so many great posters on this site which makes these boards so great. Congrats to witey and Cheat on becoming mods too.

Stop quoting things I didn't say Ace.
-
That's his problem, even when he hits the ball hard it usually goes straight to an opposing fielder. He should definitely play every day though now.
-
Still want Charles Rogers Rowand?
-
Saw the Twinkies against the Rangers today. Mulholland got KILLED on the mound today, Rangers hit him hard, even all the singles and base hits were all very hard hits. They play the Angels now, and in the 1st 2 games against them they hav Radke and Santana on the mound. It'll be interestin to watch to say the least.
-
I thought there would hav been a problem with him, no point to take him out after 5 innings if he's got a shutout going.
-
Thanks heaps knightni, I posted that I would like Fatso back in another thread, but I really appreciate it.

8 years $120 million, it's already done.

Things could be BAD for the D'Backs

I believe Weaver hasn't been signed yet either, yet another Boras client to go down that route. -
It really should be Diaz getting the start in my opinion, but the Sox have stuffed up him starting and bringing him up so many times this season they should just leave him where he is.
-
If we keep Paulie, his contract for next season will be $8,750,000 I think and it'll be the last year of his deal. If he has another monster season, do we resign him, and for how much? He could get a Sweeney like deal if some team if desperate enough for a power hitting first baseman.
-
Years and years of batting practice. I will say this bout Borch though, he's actually looked better in his last few games.

If there's any doubt on his shoulder or arm, shut him down. I don't care bout only losing this division by a few games instead of 10 or 12, if it means we get a healthy Garcia pitching next season. He's too important.

I'll hav to get Knightni to repost Fatso the Wombat for me. Please bring him back.

Any chance we got the PM's we had in the last few weeks before the database went down back? Sorry I wouldn't nornmally ask but I had some important info about studying overseas next year which would be quite helpful for me.
